I knew they would probably do a trade...as they did with the DSi when it came out. I will defintely be getting in on this. I am looking forward to the new one. WooHoo! I haven't decided if I want to get rid of my old one just yet though, but that's juicy option to consider if I do.

Wow! That is fantastic. On my way there now to order mine. March is looking good and I'm on vacation not long after that (spring break for my daughter). GREAT TIMING. Barbara

marie Addicted Boomer Registered: 11/28/06 Posts: 1595 Loc: Indiana	I checked with Gamestop today also and the trade-in prices are both correct. I have the DSlite which I paid $129 for, which would be about the same price for the new Xl with the trade in. I also found an article about the new Xl having a DS Card slot and a SD memory card slot/ I would imagine that you can use the SD card slot for for those photos they say you can store and play and probably also use it for the Book Reader, possibly you can play the MP songs too although I'll have to wait to see if it can do that. Most SD cards had considerable storage space, mine have 2gigs.

This is why I sometimes hate the electronics industry. You just can't keep up. I think I will still get the XL, cause I really like the idea of the larger size. I'm fairly sceptical of this information and would ck several sources before I bought into this. Although there is a next generation DS in the works I don't really think will see it that soon. Whimsical Shy Boomer Registered: 11/12/06 Posts: 78 Loc: Ohio	@thracia I've heard it will have a faster processor and wireless connection capabilities, tilt controls and better graphics, as well as the larger screen from the DSiXL. @marie Several sources ARE reporting this, albeit all of them reporting it as rumor. As I understand it, the original plan was not to release the DS2 for another year or two, but Nintendo is rapidly losing ground in the handheld and casual gaming areas to the Iphone and Itouch, and seems to think they have no other choice but to move their next generation handheld forward in order to make up the lost ground.

I have a $40 gift card, and $100 in reward certificates(yes, I spend alot of money there), so I figure it will only cost me about $50.
