Everything slow to come up (internet explorer and other programs). Also cannot delete The Weather Channel Desktop.

I've never really messed with the "Start" menu although I know that can be part of the program. Any suggestion? laugh

Have you scanned with a virus scanner to check for a virus?

HAve you defragged or cleaned out the disk with the disk cleaner?

Do you have ATF cleaner in your PC or Spybot Search and Destroy ? These are programs that help clean out unnecessary files.

Sorry for the questions but I don't know what you have for cleaning programs and you didn't say if you've done anything like clean out your prefetch files. smile

It sounds like the Weather Channel Desktop may be what has your computer bogged down; I read complaints about this while doing a search.

Here are some instructions on how to delete it:

Uninstalling Weather Channel Desktop

This is all assuming, of course, that this is what you are talking about. smile

I'd run a registry cleaner after that, too.

All of the above - and CCleaner, which is simple and fairly quick. It is very thorough, so if there are any cookies you want to keep for passwords etc., click on Options, click of Cookies and move any you want to keep such as Gameboomers and move to the right side.

Deleteing the "Weather Channel" did am immediate fix on the slowness problem.

Sorry I'm so slow getting back here about things but the doctors' appointments and things just make time stand still for me sometimes. I've never been one to get sick (not for many years) and I just don't accept it too well. But, generally, I feel pretty good some days and some days I don't but it's nothing really serious. Just can't figure out why I'm having so much trouble with food that I like not tasting good anymore. Must be the pills........which I totally dislike dealing with. laugh

What kind of pills are you taking?
You might want to look up the side effects on the Internet.
And if you're taking different kinds of pills, make sure there are no known drug interactions between them.
