I have done everything that the walkthrough says to do, I think, but I can't use the cell phone to call Wang. When I try, Nicole says something about "why should I disrupt this solitude" or something like that. I can't advance without calling him. Can't figure out what I have missed. Any suggestions?

gatsbygirl - - I assume you are in Nicole's apartment early in the game?

This game is really, REALLY linear. There are many actions that can't be taken until all required prior actions have been performed, some of them quite subtle - - like looking at something in the large view.

The only thing I can suggest is that you go back thru the walkthru and make sure you have done every single thing, down to the finest detail! You aren't very far into the game yet, so you have a small environment and not much ground to cover.

Please let us know when you get past this (I'm sure you will) and what it was that held you up.

Another throught. The reason for calling Wang is to get help on the serial numbers on the bulb and the bolt. That may be where you are stuck.

Did you get the magnifying glass? Did you look at both the bulb and the bolt in the large view? In the enlarged views, did you use the magnifying glass to look at the serial numbers of the bulb and bolt?

Did you clean the bolt with the glass of water and the fizz pills? And then did you look at the bolt in the large view again and use the magnifying glass?

My hunch is that your hangup is somewhere in these steps. Good luck!

I went back to try the game again and found that my saved game wasn't saved. Don't know aht happened but only 1/2 of the things I had done were there. So, I started over and this time I was able to use the cell phone and progress. I am now in the projection room in Queens.

I saved before I exited this time, too, but I am a little bit worried that my progress won't be saved again. I can't tell you what I did wrong the first time because the second time I was able to advance. I always need a lot of help so I am sure that I will be stuck again, soon.

I couldn't find the walkthrough that is supposed to be in the AOM 3 Folder. I went into My Documents and found my saved games but didn't see a Read Me file. How do I find it?

Check the AOM 3 game folder - not the saved game folder.
Check C - Progran files - City Interactive\Art of Murder 3 folder.
See if it is in there.
