Glad to hear you are past this.

I'm curious, though. What do you mean by "actual things on the computer"?

I mean things on the laptop that you use instead of a mouse. They are at the bottom middle of the computer and you somehow move them with your hand. In addition, I also mean the arrows that go up, down and from side to side.

Stuck in wang's lab using the scanner on the card.
I've clicked on the front and back of the card so many times but I can't get the right combination.
Looked at the WT but no help. Is there a way to do it better. Maybe somebody has a save.

Which walkthru did you look at? The one that comes with the game has no explanation. Take a look at the walkthru posted on this (Gameboomers) site for a full explanation.

Unless this task is randomized, the solution is not too bad.

Display the back of the card and select the circle second from the top. Make sure all other circles are inactive.

Display the face of the card and select the circles at the top and the second from the top. Make sure all other circles are inactive.

Now click "Analyze." Unless this is a randomized puzzle, you should get reports of 5 murders.

Sorry, I have no save to send to you.

-------------

Ooops . . . I just saw that you got it already.
Ignore my other post.

Happy gaming!

Ronrob,

Your walkthrough was great. Thank you so much for your help along the way. I really liked the game. As always, I'm always sorry to see an adventure game end.

Thanks for your kind words, and you are welcome.

I liked the game, too. The Art of Murder series, the two Chronicles of Mystery, and Culpa Innata are among my recent favorites. I like dialog and an intriguing story line.

Let me know if you find another good game?

I am at the pier trying to walk on those darn posts. Here is how I am trying to do it. I walk on the three posts forward and then on the right one. Poor Nicole keeps getting eaten because when I get to the right, she says that the post isn't high enough and she wishes she had something to hold it up. This is the first post series. What am I doing wrong? Have all the walkthroughs.

Grandma, you need to pick up the lamp and then place it on the post behind you (to the right). Then take the can and the basin. Place the basin on the submerged post ahead of you and then place the can on the basin. Now you can hop across.
-------------
Oops, I just realized you are at a different place. In answer to your actual question, as Nicole is talking, you see a post rising up out of the water. Put your cursor on it and be ready, When she says, "I wish I could move it up," click the post as quickly as you can.

Finished the game, thanks to you, Ronrob. It was fun. As far as the posts, I didn't realize that you had to jump back and forth during the first segment.

Grandma, if by "jump back and forth" you mean jumping back to a post you had already been on, I don't recall ever needing to do that.

No matter - - you made it across both ponds! I became alligator food about 6 times before I finished my map sketch of posts to avoid.

I became alliator food so many times that I believe the game changed a bit and I had to skip back and forth to survive. Poor Nicole. Thanks for all your help. What is the new game?
