Has anyone played this game? Someone told me that it is really fun. I noticed that there are two of them and just wondered if the game is intended for younger people or if adults will like it. I have never played any of the DS games that aren't adventure or puzzle type games, so I was just wondering about some of the other games.

Thanks!

THe reviews on Amazon are excellent if you want to read a bunch of long ones.

ramona,

Which one are you playing? I saw that there are two and I just bought a used copy of the first one. Hope this is the one that everyone likes so much. It has a picture of a girl holding up two hangers. One hanger has a dress and the other one has a skirt. I saw that there is also a game that has a big shoe on the front. I think that might be # 2 in the game. Is the gameplay hard to learn?

I have also read reviews of a game called Cooking Mama, or something like that, and it is supposed to be fun too.

The one you have is the version that I have. this is the one I think everyone is talking about. This version was released in the US last November. The gameplay is super easy to learn. It's pretty addictive. The game plays in real time so your calendar will reflect the correct date if you have set the time and date on your DS. Once you play through the story, you can continue playing. If you like shopping and cute clothes I think you will enjoy. There are lot of folks all different ages that enjoying it.

Great, let me know what you think once you play and post your online store if you decide to set it up.

ramona,

I haven't started it yet because I am playing Broken Sword on DS and Art of Murder on PC. I didn't know that you can have an online store. How fun is that! How does it work? I have a DS Lite so don't think I can do games online but I am going to get the new XL. Guess I will need to reconnect my router.

I think DS lite does let you play online. There are 2 options when you go online. One is managing your store so you dress 3 mannequins and people can visit your store and buy the outfits and you collect the cash. The other option allows you to vist others stores. I have a router but the connection is only good when I am in the room with the router so I get kicked off alot. I too am going to get the new XL and hope the connection is better.

ramona,

I have been playing Style Savvy and it is a lot of fun, especially on my new XL. I started to go online and then hesitated. There were all these disclaimers saying that your info will be available to everyone and that Nintendo can make changes whenever they want, or something like that etc. I stopped reading it.

Have you had any problems putting your store online? One review of the game that I read said that if we go online we can download clothes from real designers for our DS store and not just buy from another player's boutique. That sounded like fun.

When we set up our online store do we use a different name than the one we are currently
using? I sign into the game using my name, and players in the game use my name, but I don't want other people to see that if I play online. How do we find other stores that we can shop in if we don't know the names of them? Once we put our store online, can we remove it or will it always be online every time we play?

It sounds really fun but I would like to know a little bit more about it before I try it.

Thanks!

The store is easy to set up and will have the same name as your offline store. right now, there are some clothes from Beyonce's clothing line. There was also for a time clothes from the I Love Ronson line. The clothes from the designers are only available for a limited time. The clothes can only be worn by you and are available when you are in your apartment.

I haven't had any problems with the online part except for having a bad connection. I am not sure if you can delete the store once it's online. There really isn't any interaction with other players. I just visit shops to buy outfits. I think they put out the warnings since kids play the game.
