I am in chapter one playing as Gromit. I have killed the outdoor bees at the house but when I go into town I can walk around but can't do any actions. For instance, when I try to give the answering machine to the news lady, nothing happens. The game will eventually lock up and I have to restart it. I can collect items at the house but not in town. I am playing on Vista and I'm playing the disc version not the download. I have tried playing it with the disk in the drive but it doesn't make a difference. Any help will as always be appreciated.

You should probably contact Telltale about this glitch.
They should be more responsive than Dreamcatcher.

I found out the Wallace and Grommit collection is no different from the download versions. According to someone in ***this thread***, they essentially just copied the download versions to a DVD for you. They'll need online activation, the same as the download versions, and it uses an online version of SecuROM.

I think this is only true for the Collector's DVD available from Telltale's website - not the retail version available in stores.

many people have had this problem and several solutions are given, such as the one you are referring to. the following is the steps i followed that were given on the tell tale website and i have a retail copy. i renamed both files listed below and the game worked fine. you know you succeded by getting a cut scene when gromit goes into town to save the grocer from the giant bumble bees.

"There are several threads about that issue here. It seems like some files in the install folder can mess up the game.
The one that causes your situation is env_TownExterior_Gromit.dlg. Something similar can happen at a later point in the game due to env_CountryRoad.dlg (don't read it because of possible spoilers).
You should be save by deleting both."
