It's not like I really gave you much to go on, given the complexity involved.

This whole mess involves understanding how the telekinesis power functions (or, as in my case, stumbling across a "glitch" and working it out later.) Unlike some of the other powers, Telekinesis roots Raz in place until the player lets go of the appropriate button. If he's in midair at the time, Raz will fall straight down until he hits the ground.
The camera, however, focuses not on Raz (like usual) but on the person or object you're moving with your mind. This is true no matter how far away Raz happens to be at the time: to compensate, the camera just zooms out a bit so you can see Raz in the corner of the screen.
Then there's the crow. If you climb to the very top of the nearby rock tower, you can see the crow, but if you stand there you'll find the crow is too far away for your powers to work on it.
Using the levitation power you can jump almost high enough to touch the crow.
Almost.
By jumping that high, you also just barely come close enough to use your psychic powers. Near the peak of your jump, you can use various powers, such as pyrokinesis, but unlike the other birds in the game, you can't actually harm the bird.
On that note, the orange thing floating above the bird in the picture is Raz's Telekinesis power in action. Unlike the other attack powers, it lasts as long as the telekinesis button is depressed. Since you can't interact with the bird, the bird stays rooted to the spot rather than lifting into the air.
Normally if you just jump up above the cliff using levitation and use telekinesis on the bird at the peak of your jump (just after landing on the cliff in front of the bird), a glowing orange hand appears above the bird, and Raz falls straight down, back to the top of the cliff. The total distance between the bird and Raz is only a few feet, so nothing unusual happens.
But if you jump a little to the left before using telekinesis, then you'll be hovering over the edge of the cliff. When Raz falls downwards, he lands on the sloped wall to the left of the cliff, and then slides all the way into the valley at the base of those tall trees in the picture.
As long as you keep the telekinesis button depressed, the center of the camera remains fixed on the bird and the glowing hand. But because Raz is so far away, the camera zooms way out in order to include him in the picture (even though he's actually behind a wall at this point.) You can even rotate the camera, which rotates through an enormous swath of the forest (and the GPC) as it attempts to keep both Raz and the bird in the frame.
I haven't tested it just yet, but I suspect the same trick will work for any sufficiently tall object with an interactive character near the top of it (such as the top of the lodge, during certain parts of the game.)
[EDIT] Actually the crow may be a special case. You can't use telekinesis unless you're on the ground. So you have to land on the conveniently sloped grass in front of the crow, then use telekinesis while sliding back down. Land a little to the left, and you'll slide past the cliff. There aren't many places in the game where a character stands on a cliff that's too steep to stand on. For some reason.
