When I'm trying to load my saved game the scree'n goes back to the windows. And also keeps asking me to put the Original DVD in the drive although is already in the DVD drive.

What I'm supposed to do?

While waiting for the experts here - have you tried to lower your audio-video acceleration. See if that helps.

Nothing of the above helps. The problem seems to be bigger than we have expected

I wonder if the problem is similar to the one with Wallace and Grommit described by "plasticman" ***here***, where there was a problem with folder names with Greek characters.

Of course it could also just be a failure of the copy "protection" to recognize a valid DVD considering the message you're getting.

Thank you for all the above. Unfortunately nothing of them has solved my problem. I'm still have to play a game that I have bought but it is still in Beta form. I cannot load my save games so...

Maybe someone in the forum that I linked to in my previous post can help you more than I can.

It looks like their best "solution" (for XP) involved creating a new user account with a new My Documents folder (called My Documents and not Τα έγγραφά μου or something else that uses Greek characters), installing the game for that user, and using the autosave instead of manually saving the game.

They should be able to create a patch for this, but I don't know if they will.

Were you able to get this working? I had the game but had not installed it yet. After reading this and getting a bit nervous I installed the game and when I tried to play it, I could not even go into the game because it said to put the DVD in even though it was already in.
I went into "my computer" and right clicked on the drive with the DVD in it, then clicked on "properties", then the "DLA" tab and disabled (unchecked) "enable DLA on your drives".
I was then able to play the game. I did not play much but tried it out including saving and loading and it seems to work.
Maybe you can try that?

As far as I can tell, the DLA referred to is this

I don't know why that would keep the game from playing, but whatever works...

I don't either, but I had the same problem (or similar - it did mention my DLA) with the Myst 10th anniversary games. I contacted Ubisoft and was told I just wouldn't be able to play the games. When I fiddled around and found that DLA tab and disabled it, I was able to play the Myst games, so I tried it with Ghost Pirates and it did the trick.
