Senscape is finally ready to lift the veil of secrecy surrounding the game until now referred to as “Unnameable Project.” The name and nature of this long awaited horror adventure are revealed along with a lengthy and moody trailer that shows its frightening atmosphere as well as a large selection of concept artwork, including the entire cast of characters in the game. While details are still scarce, it has transpired that players will be able to explore at leisure a vast and vivid asylum known as the Hanwell Mental Institute, while diving into a disturbing horror storyline unlike anything that has ever been seen before in the adventure genre. Authored by Agustín Cordes, designer of the popular and award-winning Scratches, the project aims to provide a genuinely heart-stopping and menacing experience. “We have created something very special here,” said Agustín. “The decaying Hanwell institute seems to have a life of its own and was designed from the ground up after real blueprints of vintage asylums. It may be one of the largest virtual structures ever created for a game.” This announcement is the culmination of a unique and successful viral promotion that involved a series of YouTube videos by an inmate on the run called “Leonard Huntings” and the fake homepage of the Hanwell Mental Institute. Many who have been requesting admissions to the asylum can look forward to a very special surprise. About Senscape Founded in 2010 by Agustín Cordes and based in Argentina, Senscape aims to become a key company of independently developed video games and in particular the adventure genre. To achieve this, Agustín has assembled an outstanding team of professionals hailing from many different industries and committed to bring only the best quality to its works. Senscape strives to merge technical prowess with compelling stories that provide rewarding and unforgettable experiences. For more information, please visit: http://www.Senscape.netAbout Hanwell Mental Institute For decades, the Hanwell Mental Institute has been housing patients of many ages with diverse degrees of mental illness. The institute admits feeble-minded men and women who are not fit for society under excellent conditions and nursing, with a high recovery rate thanks to advanced treatments pioneered by the universally acclaimed psychologist Dr. Ann Ebersbacher. Even patients with extreme mental disorders have shown positive progress and are now able to enjoy a full life inside the walls of the institute. Many others have returned to their families, ready to face new challenges and experiences in their improved conditions. This is good news. Considering that Scratches was Agustin's first Adventure installment, and one of my personal favorites, I can't wait to see how this one stands up to the test. I see more than just a few familiar faces on his technical staff (how he managed to keep them all quite - is beyond me). Congratulations Agustin - P.S. I hope you put some linking books in the game so SirDave and Aya can enjoy it

Ohhh Scratches was an awesome game. It took very long before I actually worked up the nerve to go down to the cellar. This looks very cool and I can't wait to play it!

Hey Boomers! Thank you so much for the encouraging words. We are very glad at Senscape that you like Asylum so far... we certainly trust you will enjoy your stay at the Hanwell Mental Institute. Believe me when I tell you, this is going to be adventure game heaven for you people: lots of dark places to explore and mysteries to reveal. Hanwell is *huge* indeed. Keep in mind those blueprints on the website are not showing the underground parts... hehe Also, many many thanks to the incredible staff (Carla, Ana, Becky, Marita) that posted the viral videos and kept the fun going until the announcement. This has been a rush and I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! By the way, have you seen a certain "lhuntings" person posting around in here? We have lost complete track of that guy...

It's been a real treat Agustin and I thought the tease to the announcement was brilliant and original. If you can do the pre game announcent and have us sitting on the edge of our seats, I can only imagine what the game will do! Leonard did not show up for his birthday greetings....I hope he isn't in solitary confinement. Ana

Sounds great to me, I think. {just as long as the 'Assylum' doesn't affect me as the 'Sanitarium' did, still having flashbacks on that one  and wouldn't complete it after the cave}

Shambling my way back to the adventure forum to comment on this one! Probably selfish of me, but I hope Asylum approaches Sanitarium's level of sheer creepitude - though preferably a smidge more grounded in "reality," as that's usually even freakier. I have faith in Agustin and his team - the kind that only comes with repeated cellar excursions (that place is still as unsettling as it was the first time ). Yeah. I'm a weirdo.

Thanks Carla. I'm going to make a note reminding me that when I see the name "Senscape"... to connect it to Agustin Cordes & "Scratches"... and the --as yet-- 'unnamed' game due out in 2011. According to Wikipedia, Ealing Hospital in Middlesex County sits on part of the grounds of the original asylum. Must've fueled many spooky stories back when the original was still standing! I just got back from THERE a minute ago... thanks to Google. Have to say... even the 'new' building looks like an austere place... to which many horrors could be attached.

Hey Katbear, Sanitarium was a great game. I think it is time to play it again while I am waiting for this one to come out.
