How many of you, have read up on the new expansion to WOW?
There's some real drastic changes I tell you smile

Some of the game world will change radically and we'll get an underwater city.

And we're getting 2 new races - Worgen for Alliance and goblin for Horde.

The Talent system will be reduced to only 31 points to be spend in only 1 specialization tree.
After that we get 10 more to use on the other 2 specialization trees.

Next - the Hunter will lose the Mana and instead use focus.

What's your thoughts on all this? laugh

EDIT:
I did however read a review of the first 10 levels for the Goblin - and I tell you, some of the quests are hillarius laugh
Among other things, you'll get a quest from a guy called Chip Endale wink
And for another quest you get a Hotrod to drive around in (to do errands for a quest) - one of them is to drive over people, lol.

I have heard bits and bites....I was just figuring out this system lol

Not sure I'm gonna like the changes, but I'm sure I'll live with 'em. So far Blizzard does seem to have their act together. wave

I am sure I'll like most of the changes and will find a few to be sad or confusing. I'll miss some things too. Wish one of us had been chosen for beta test. I'm excited and still a little confused.

I think it's a nice touch to the game. smile

Will give the old timers with lvl 80 toons something to play with and even go back and visit the starting areas again with their alts, since that changes too.

I'm excited to see what the new profession archeology will be like. Seems it's more of a skill profession than gather/production.

If you check one of the official wow fansites - Ton Ten Hammer, you can read about the first 10 lvl's for both Worgen and Goblin among other good stuff.

Ugh. The thought of redoing all my talent points, again, for all my toons, is kind of upsetting. While I'm looking forward to the expansion, new races, etc, etc, I hate having to respec over and over like this.

I remember one year they changed stuff so much and had to keep patching that we had to redo stuff at least 3 times. hardwall

Hi Karen:

Are you talking about the quests in your quest log? If so, grey quests are too low level for you to get experience points. You'll still get the quest reward but very little or no experience. Green quests should be easy for you to do, yellow slightly harder and red very hard.

Hope this helps!

Hi ya Doc, yeppers, JeanK nailed it. Orange means it's pretty hard too. Soot and I together can usually do orange quests and sometimes we can do the red ones, sometimes not. You also get more experience from the harder quests.

When I'm questing by myself I stick to yellow and green. wave

Thanks very much JeanK & L4L! that helps a lot! thanks

how do you know how many items you have to make
like for cooking and making postions?? I've looked at the
manuals and it says nothing about it?
what do the colors mean on them? like cooking some
are yellow & green and red?

and one more questionm how many points does it take
to get Exhalted to be able to ride another animal??
I have looked everywhere at Blizzard and it says
nothing about how many points you need and where you
can see your points?

Thanks so much for the help, I'm leaving in the morning
to go to my sister's lake cabin for a week or so and
now I have a Laptop so I will be able to play WoW!! yay
that's relaxing right!? snicker

Bella is gonna love it their! I wonder if she'll like the water?
prolly not she hates being cold puppy

Hi ya Doc, how ya feeling?

When you are leveling up proffessions,(main and secondary like cooking and first aid) you will get 1 point for each orange item. When that item turns yellow, you will usually get one point, but not always. When that item's name turns green, you will occasionally get a point for making that item, but not often. (Maybe one in 10) Once the name is gray, you can still make it if you need to, but you will not get any more points.

To get exalted....lots of points. If you open your character pane, and then click on the reputation tab at the bottom, you can scroll down and see where you stand with each faction. If you hover over that bar, you will see how many more points you need to reach the next status. The levels are Neutral, Friendly, Honored, Revered, and Exalted. Here is a good page to read up on reputation.

Yes, playing WoW is super relaxing...go for it!

Are you going to be alone at the cabin?

I've finally reached lvl 50-> and I can't say it's ALL relaxing laugh
There are times when my heart beats so fast, I think it's gonna jump right out of me, lol.

But back to topic - wasn't release date supposed to be late this year or have I fooled myself?

I'm getting really impatient here smile

Gratz on level 50! rah Sometimes its just seems to take forever, doesn't it?

I can't wait for Cataclysm either. It will be nice to have new things to explore again.
