Not sure which the problem is, we recently bought a Asus laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium installed, at the time I'd no intention of installing games on it as it was supposed to be my husband's computer. However our daughter is thinking of getting a new computer herself and no doubt it would have Win 7 installed so I thought I'd try and see how Black Mirror 1 and Dreamfall would play on Win 7 - certainly didn't actually want to play them again myself at this stage.

Anyway I tried Black Mirror 1 first of all, it installed O.K. but then the dreaded Starforce thing popped up when I tried to run the game, said I had to install more drivers so clicked O.K. the computer rebooted itself but then had the same thing all over again with Windows asking for signed drivers and so on - I'm sure other people have struck this, never had any trouble on our desktop computer either installing or playing the game. In the end uninstalled it and installed Dreamfall instead - exactly the same thing happened with this game so I'm assuming it must be a Win. 7 glitch or it not liking Starforce (mind you, who does!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated so thanks in advance.

Jo.

The version of Starforce that shipped with The Black Mirror is incompatible with both Vista and Windows 7. Dreamfall shipped with SecurRom and I've not tried to replay it, but it sounds like a similar issue.

They can still be played, if you're interested PM me and I'll explain what needs to be done.
