I ordered Machinarium from them - the CD version - early this month and have been waiting for it to arrive ever since. I've also sent them two emails about this but haven't heard from them.

Has anyone else had a problem with this company or does it take an inordinate amount of time for shipments from there? Of course, that doesn't excuse their not responding to my emails.

JasonC from Lace Mamba sometimes posts here. You can search the forum for threads about the company.

I can't speak for Lace Mamba, but in my experience dealing with customer service at Telltale, shipments to the UK from the US could sometimes take up to 5-6 weeks, and emails sometimes got lost in the either. I always felt awful when I heard from an angry customer who thought they were being ignored -- when actually we'd never received their email or we had responded and they didn't get the response.

Since email doesn't seem to be working, maybe you could post on their forum, or send Jason a private message through GB?

I've had a similar problem. I e-mailed them because my DVD for Machinarium was one of the faulty ones with no set-up file. They e-mailed back to say they were sending a replacement, 2 months later and still nothing. I've e-mailed again but no reply. Very sad.

Not to add any bashing, but I emailed them also because I thought I had one of the bad DVD's, and I never heard from them.

Fortunately, it was not a bad DVD at all! There just weren't any installation instructions and it wouldn't auto install. I tried a couple of different things and got it. (Just don't ask which it was that worked, unless you really need to, in which case I could probably find it.)

I ordered "Machinarium Collectors edition" in Dec 09 from the Mamba web site. I was sent "The Void" in Feb 10. I emailed, no response. I waited until "Machinarium" was released and emailed again. I was sent the right game BUT it had only Mac version on it. I emailed a couple of time more and eventually had a reply asking if Windows only version would be OK. I answered in affirmative.. Since then nothing.http://www.gameboomers.com/forum/images/icons/default_dark/tongue.gif

There is an official Machinarium forum. I learnt that the first edition had Mac version only. A second edition had Windows only. The disk should have both versions. They give an email address to send complaints to.

Forum URL is http://machinarium.net/forum/index.php/board,3.0.html

I got so fed up I ordered a second copy via Amazon.co.uk. It arrived within a week. (I am UK based). The game is well worth waiting for.

OK. I sent JasonC an email AND a message through the forum. If I still don't hear from him I'll fill out a complaint on paypal from where I sent the money for the game. Sorry to find out that Mamba has been so difficult.

Here's an update to the problem I've had with getting the Machinarium CD. I received an email from Jason on July 19 and a message here at Gameboomer's on July 20. He promised to get the game out to me if I just gave him my address - which I did in both communications.

Today is August 23 and the game still isn't here. I contacted Jason about a week ago about this. He didn't reply. I finally went to Paypal to get a dispute going but it turns out I'm a couple of days too late to file a dispute. Jason's reassuring email kept me waiting too long.

I sent another email and a GB message that I want my money back. I'll get the game elsewhere.

It's been a mess and I don't think I'll be ordering any more games from this company. I just hope I get the money back into my paypal account.
