dear mag, i have read and re-read your walkthrough but i am having trouble finding the projector's dirty window i have to clean with spray bottle and paper towel. robert.

This is from the walkthrough:

Window: Check the window in front of the right projector. Slide the cover off using the handle and see that window is dirty.

In inventory, use the spray bottle on paper towel to get soaked towel. Use soaked towel on dirty window.


So - face the projector closest to you when you just come in the room.
There is a window that is in front of that on the wall to your right.
Slide the cover and see that the glass of that window is dirty.
Clean it then.

after weighing down the wheel with bucket and bricks, how do i see control room, look at projector then flip a switch to watch movie? robert.

Go back to the control room then.
Go outside to the theatre proper-seats.
The way to the control room is top left when you are facing the seats.

mag; ANALYZE NEW EVIDENCE:SCANNER: 'do the same for the ticket.' does this mean do the same procedure for the ticket as scanning the token, OR use the card on the evidence bag? robert. p.s. which card?

Yes - do the same procedure as you did for the token. Instead of card - use the ticket after you have scanned it.

Go to scanner left of the big machine.

Look close at the ticket in evidence bag. Use the gloves on it to take it out of the bag.

Open the scanner. Place the ticket inside. Close the lid and press the blue scanning button.

Open the lid. Right click the ticket to turn it over. Close the lid and press the blue scanning button.

Open the lid and take the ticket out. Close the scanner.

Look close at empty evidence bag. Use the ticket on the evidence bag to place it inside.

mag. at the binoculars, 'PICK UP THE CAN OF ENGINE OIL BEHIND DICK'. i am supposed to talk to Dick. where is Dick as i don't see him? thanks, robert.

From the binoculars - turn to that alley behind you.

No, Robert.

Face the binoculars - like you're going to look through it.
The gurardhouse should be on your right.
Do a 180 - turn around and there is an alley there. That is where you might see Dick and/or the oil can only or both.

Or look at the binoculars with the guardhouse at the background. Go right to the alley.

When you're in the main street, the binoculars are off to your right in the mouth of the alley. Go to your right, beyond them, toward the barrels that are all stacked up and Dick should show up in that area.

You might or might find Dick. Later he might show up. It is a clue only.

I don't have one at this specific spot. Just continue on - you don't need to see him here to finish the game. The important thing is to get that oil that is I think on the ground.

I'll send you a couple of saves around this point and one of them should be what you need. Check your e-mail in a little while.

Robert,

Download it to desktop.
Right click the zipped folder.
Select "extract all" from drop down menu.
That should unzip the folder.
Then open it and see the files inside - those are the saved game files.
Continue with Rushes' directions then.

mag. i'm at the 'PUT TOGETHER THE SEEDS' portion of the w/t but the double-click doesn't turn the seed fragments over. i have tried adjusting the mouse to no avail. is there an alternative? robert.

Hi robert,

The only way to flip the seeds over is to double-click them. Try double-clicking at different speeds until you find the speed which works for this particular puzzle.

Is the demo your playing robert? I don't remember any drawbridge in the demo. Sorry I thought you were playing Lost Horizon.

Maybe you are just not in the correct position.
Double check that you have picked up everything already. You won't be back here.
Then go to the pier and see if you can position yourself close to the raised drawbridge.

mag, i finally got the drawbridge down, thanks, but now i have to face those posts and that huge alligator!! i wish those 'adventure' game designers would not include those timed-action sequences in adventure games. i hope you agree. if i wanted to play action games, then i would BUY action games. robert.

Print the picture that is in the walkthrough or draw it yourself in a scratch paper.
It's really not timed except for one or 2 spots that you need to move fast. Mark that in your own drawing.
That is how I did it and how I drew the lines in the picture.
If I can do it with my shaking hand - you can do it.

In this part of the game you can save as you go along, so every time you make it to a good place save. Then you won't have to start over.

mag/rushes. - after asking the boss for military database access and putting car wreck prints on top of reporter's prints, i don't see 10 matches. can you figure out what i am missing? robert.

Remove the reporter's prints, the database should have assessed that they don't match. Use the search function on the car wreck prints alone, and you should have a possible 10 matches pop up. Then you can go through them one by one to see which fits.

hi rushes, my game looks exactly like magtro's picture of the impellers at the end of the game. are there more than 1 configuration like this? nicole didn't make any comment. how do you know when it is time to go below the blades of the impellers? robert.

Move the cursor to the space that is made at the bottom of the propeller. If you see a forward arrow - go ahead.

Urgh. just got this game today and i am completely stuck. i cannot get the bartender to give me oil, she says she doesn't feel like talking now ... this game frustrates already and i'm only at the beginning. i have gone back twice to follow exact sequence of walkthrough but still the bartender doesn't give oil and she doesn't feel like talking. please help me xxx

Hi Dottiegale, to GameBoomers.

Have you picked up the empty oil bottle already? Right-click on it in inventory to examine it.

Also, when you used the key on the padlock in the bathroom -- right-click on the key in inventory to examine it further and observe it is rusty.

Then try talking to the bartender again.

I did, she doesn't feel like talking and i feel like throttling her lol. thank you for the welcome, this is incredibly frustrating lol.

I understand the frustration. I'd suggest going back through this scene again, making absolutely sure to right-click on everything it's possible to interact with, in addition to the left-clicking. This is one of those games where right-clicking is critical in order to make progress, and I'm thinking perhaps that's what's holding you up here. Right-click-examine everything you have in inventory also.
