Becky: Tried all suggestions.Am I supposed to get an "examine" on the rocks first? Don't get that. Have looked at circle which I put together (if that means anything). I'm sure I'm missing something, but what, I don't know. I am playing in Detective Mode, if that helps. Could I possibly get a saved game? Thanks again.

Laurette -- I do get an "examine" on the rocks first if I just hover the cursor over them. Have you tried playing forward from a previously saved game?

I could send you a save, but they are tricky and not many have been able to get them to work. frown

(My saves are in the Standard difficulty level.)

Becky: I haven't tried a previously saved game. I feel I haven't done everything the w/t says to do before the rocks. I've looked at the put together puzzle, taken out the compass (do you have to have it in your possession when you use the camera? I'll try again, but if it doesn't work, I'd like to try the save. Thanks!

I don't think you need the compass in your possession before being able to use the camera, but I don't know for sure what all the invisible triggers are, so it might be necessary.

If you haven't done everything in the walkthrough, it would definitely be a good idea to go back and do everything. Have you clicked to put the put-together-puzzle into your inventory?

EDIT: Be sure you've done everything in the "Up to a Different Attic" section of the walkthrough. You might have to underline the bit about luminescent paint, for instance, before the symbols will show up on the stones. Just a guess.

Becky: I don't think I did the book in the other attic. Thanks. Will try and let you know.

After I underlined the attic book, the camera worked. Now, I need to find 4 more stones. Good grief!

Thanks for the help.

Ok. Sorry to be such a pain. Am getting a huge headache trying to find all 16 stones. Would you please try sending me a saved game? Sometimes, when I have one, I can solve it myself. Let me know. thank you so much!

So, since the saved games didn't work, does that mean I'm out of luck? I've been wandering around and around and can't find all the stones. I was enjoying this game too.

I tried the floor puzzle even though I hadn't found all the stones (I think), using the w/t. and - it worked! I'm so glad!

I'm back. Near end of game. In grandmother's room. Supposed to search and open floorboard. Use "lever" with wooden handle that I found, but keep getting message "that won't work here," or "no." Help! Thanks.

I referred to another w/t and found out I hadn't taken the "lever/crowbar" from the bookstore. Got it and am moving on!
