jmdsmd1,Have you got the leather strap?use it on the parachute. it won't work so use it on the water puddle next to the plane. use it again on the parachute.

Did Kim get the rope on the right side of the truck if so give it to fenton.

I'm stuck at that point in the ice cavern. "Grappling" with how to get out.
Ice, pot, burner....

I *think* I've tried combining everything with everything, no luck. Everything with every hotspot, no luck.

I imagine I'm missing something obvious.

Did you use the grappling hook in the other room near the celing.

The game will not currently allow me to enter any of the 4 passageways. Previous exploration and current info explains that there's a draft from back there somewhere.

You can't enter the passage on the left side. I don't know what you have done in the first room but you have a lot to do. I don't know how far you are. let me go back to a save. I don't remember what you have to do.

Inventory consists of pieces of broken record, incense sticks, newspaper, gas burner, log, grappling hook, chunks of ice, sealed ice-filled pot.

No apparent way to melt/heat the ice in the pot. No access to any passageway.

Light the incense and use it on the left passage way.

I understand the logic of that, but HOW do I light the incense? The burner won't do it, and I dropped my burning dung in the fall.

Did you have kim pick up the light cigar. Use the sign on the ground next to the left window.

Hi all,
I am in the same position .I did get into the other cave on the left and I do have the grappling hook.Kim is upstairs with only the documemts and the danger sign. I tried the grappling hook on the top of the second cavern,I thew ice, I tried to melt the rubbish pile...no success. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

You must set a fire *atop* the garbage....

Yes, did all of that.The grappling hook doesn't work on the ceiling of the second cavern and I think I 've tried everything. He won't put the pot on the gas burner because he doesn't want to hurt his hands. I am stuck.

Done. Trapped the welder. Got into the toolbox. Faked up a record cover. Have the saw blade, gunpowder, tent peg, etc.

How to distract/remove the guard in the tent and free Thomas?

have you got the glued record if so put the gunpowder on the record and put the record in the sleeve. than put the record and sleeve on the pile of records in the tent.

I'm glad you got it. it's a very demanding game. after you figured it out you wonder why you didn't think of it sooner. The more you get into the game the harder it gets. I used the hot spots a lot.

A few hints:

Display a camera ban to the photographer.
The universal symbol for "No" is involved.

Several locations are involved in achieving this.

I'm slightly ahead of you in the game, but I imagine you'll soon ketchup to me. :-}

Go to the museum and put the katchup on the door knob. put the camera flyer on the door knob. go back to the pariser plaza and put the flyer on the sign next to the phone booth.

Hi again, I'm stuck afer entering the monastery with Kim. The dog is downstairs and I can't get down. I have the glue,peg, bottle opener , the eggshell,and flour.Can anyone help please?

Put the egg with oil on the pulley and put the prayer wheel on the pulley. next open the can of meat and put it on the board on the floor.

If you don't have the oil in the egg shell and the prayes wheel, I will have to go back to a save and find out. I finally found the oil it's next to the lever by the lift. the prayer wheel is next to the door that was closed on the right side. use the tent peg to pry it off.

MANY steps involved here. A few key things to do, that I recall:

To get 100, beat Aziz in a wrestling match
(You have to figure out how to cross the desert. Hint - lure the camel to you with music.)

To (eventually) get that over 200, beat the thimblerigger several times (to do so, a golden ball is involved)

Your right arb, there are a lot of things to do before you can get any money. I don't know if they have any money or not. Can't give any hint now.

Take things step by step. In general, talk to everyone until you find someone who needs what you have, or will trade for what you need. Explore near the desert. Just keep going around to the location s and people. If you have a specific puzzle request, fire away, and someone here will be happy to help!

Hi all,need a hint please... I am in the North tower and cannot lift the stone circle. I drilled a hole in it, raised and dropped the chandelier etc but nothing else seems to work. I have the candlestick, eye of dragon.pot with water,steel cable,telescope,mirror, lantern,axe,and the nutcraker. Any suggestion? Thanks!

Perhaps putting something *in* the hole you drilled will give you a handle on the problem.

If none of your current inventory items work, go back to a previous location, and find the needed item there. You'll be hooked by the game!

You're welcome, Joyce. I never found a place in the game where I was stuck and had to load a past save to try again in that regard. After some welcome assistance from Richard early on, I got into the minds of the designers and could look at a scene and know what would, in time, be needed/expected.

I have never been so excited about a game in a long time as I am with this one,it is fascinating and I have only played the demo. Keep those hints coming because I am sure I will use them when I get my copy of the game.

Now I am stuck...I am in the castle, hung up the clean mirror only to find out I have no telescope.

Where do I get that?

There's an external door leading out to a balcony close to where you are now. You should find it there.
