I got this game downloaded for me and from the WTs on this site, my game is nothing like that. First Nico is in some kind of palace where a mime killed a very imortant man in France. Now I'm in at some kind of harbor and need to unlock 2 complicated locks. But I'm having a big problem there. Can someone help me? It's like some kind of slider puzzle which I hate smile

Tsavorite,

Click on the question mark. It brings up the hint system that will tell you exactly how to bypass that puzzle if you want to.

Seems you got the new and improved Broken Sword - Directors Cut smile
I THINK there's a new walkthrough for it - but not sure...

I just started it myself and like the new things laugh

"Seems you got the new and improved Broken Sword - Directors Cut"

Hi, mislillo, it seems that I did! I didn't realize this game was so different from the one in the walkthrough by Witchen until I peeked at it just now. It looks like the biggest difference (since I did just peek) is the way the game starts with Nico, not George.

I've just reached Ireland (as George) and I'm having a blast. This game is laugh-out-loud funny in places, especially if you ask everyone about everything you're carrying in your inventory no matter how ridiculous the question seems to be. And the Hint system is terrific if you need a nudge in the right direction or some serious help with things like that lock puzzle. Right now, I don't think I'm going to need a walkthrough. Amazing!

I got the Director's Cut from The Adventure Shop, Charllotte. It's on sale for $9.99.

I forgot to mention that it was the Director's Cut. I did see the question mark and it said to move the cursor from left to right and the locks would unlock. I tried that but it didn't work. If there's WT for this game I haven's see it

Here's a link from UHS Hints for the Director's Cut version which might be helpful if needed:

Tsavorite,

You have to put the cursor all the way over on the left side of the screen then click and hold the cursor down as you drag it over to the far right of the screen, then let go. The lock should snap open.

Now I'm stuck after getting through.. I put the shell case down but then I picked it up and I can't seem to get to the next step. Should I just start over?

No, you're okay, Tsavorite.
Click to reveal..
Look at the cross on the wall and lift it. You need the bullet casing to hold it in place. Once you do that, look at the wall by the door.
You have to insert something there.

Once you do, you're going to need the bullet casing again.

Oh, wait, did you get through the door? (Slaps forehead.) If not,
Click to reveal..
use the artefact. The rubbing you took has the clues you need now. Don't forget to take the artefact again when you're done.
