I like Nancy Drew games and would buy them without pause... until I played Crystal Skull. I wasn't too fond of Kapu Cave (bleeeech) and almost didn't buy Icicle Creek (not too bad actually!) but Crustal Skull and those

eyeballs made me start to check out the Reviews and the Hints page on GB .
When I saw all of the questions and requests for Saved games on Ransom, I knew that the game wasn't for me and will not buy it. If it's offered at the library, then I'll check it out.
I LOVED Waverly Academy but not too keen on getting another ND game without checking out other GBers' opinions
The one thing I miss about the older games was that you had to keep notes. Even on the easier level, there was no Task List. And as FRUSTRATING as it was to lose the combination to a safe, a telephone number or forget what you've done in an ND game, it was still a lot of fun. If Bess, George, or Ned couldn't get you back on track, you could rely on GBers to give you a nudge (or a dope-slap) in the right direction). This is what made ND fun for me
BTW I'm a-getting old too (just turned 50 this year

) . My reflexes arent' what they use to be and my eyes are even worse

I'm not too keen on timed puzzles or shooting down a child with snowballs (although I must admit that I took GREAT pleasure when I DID manage to whack her with 10 of them

)
Any more room for another rocking chair on the porch?
