Just received draclvr's message about Egyptian Prophecy and Win7, my version was the original boxed disc.

You have my sympathy InlandAZ, been there, done that.

Thanks, sarahandus!

And just so I can be as accurate as possible in the Windows 7 and Games thread, is either Egypt 2 or 3 that cas1701 says played on his Windows 7 the same game as The Egyptian Prophecy?

I'll have to re-read the first part of this thread as my brain isn't quite functioning yet, but just in case this hasn't been mentioned. I got this PM on another gaming forum from a former GB member.

Quote:
I had the same problem trying to play TEP once, the very same trouble as the others are experiencing. It turns out that TEP has a bug in the game, as it relates to those with Nvidia video cards. There's a patch on the TAC support pages that can be downloaded to fix that little problem. Here's a link: http://www.adventurecompanygames.com/support/pc/patches/patches.php

TEP can be found in the drop down menu .

Egypt 2 is The Heliopolis Prophecy
Egypt 3 is the Egyptian Prophecy

Hi, I just wanted to give an update about the functionality of The Egyptian Prophecy.

I got a new Windows 7 64 Desktop that has 8GB, and i5 2500 processor and a AMD 6670 graphics card.
I'm not sure if all or one of these options worked but I installed the game, clicked the desktop icon to "run as admin" and it has been working so far!

I was given this game via a gameboomers member in the trade/sell section. It is a 3 disc set with the original box that says "The Egyptian Prophecy" showing a pyramid. The date is 2004.

So it IS possible to run this game on Windows 7 64 bit.

Thanks for letting us know. Whether or not a computer will run it may be more a matter of video card and drivers than OS.
