That Old College Try Asura week has concluded.
*A Bookah is an imaginary creature asura parents use to frighten their misbehaving children. Its supposed to be large, loud, bellowing and dumb. The asura consider anyone not asura to be bookah. In Guild Wars: Eye of the North they are constantly referring to human player characters as bookah.

Secret Agent Cat: In The Mind Of Genius - interview with designer Jeff Grubb
OnlineWelten: Interview w/ArenaNet on the Asura | OnlineWelten German site, Enlgish version of the interview. Minor glitch in answer to second question, Arenanet mentions the College of Dynamics twice, most likely the second time actually meant College of Synergetics.
VG 24/7: Inventing Asura: Guild Wars 2?s Ree Soesbee and Jeff Grubb - Reference to Dragonlands should be Dragonlance, Jeff Grubb was involved in the series
Game Reactor: A race of short stature geniuses (English translaton from the Dutch) There are some clear problems with the translation to English. Example: "Asuras are no gods" should be "The Asura have no gods".
"What makes an Asura in your spare time?
Ree Soesbee: Found it!
Jeff Grubb: Makes things!
Ree Soesbee: Pushing things!"
Should be
"What does an asura do in its spare time?
Ree Sooesbee: discover things!
Jeff Grubb: create things!
Ree Soesbee: blow up things!"
This is an interesting statement:
"Ree Soesbee: We have always said that the magic of Tyria is based on the four elements. Power crystals are nothing more than a piece of matter that has been filled with such magic."
What four elements? In Guild Wars 1 lore magic was divided into preservation, destruction, aggression, and denial not the traditional air, fire, earth and water, though elementalists do specialize in though their spells are still divided inot the other four groups. The story goes that the Tyrian gods made it impossible for any one person to combine all four schools of magic at once so no mortal would be too powerful.
