Played 5 minutes of the demo and dumped it. Items were so small had to click allover. Awful dark also.Maybe another gamer will like it.

No HOG scenes, and not quite a true adventure lite, more like an IHOG without HOG scenes. lol

I had a hard time deciding how to classify.

Richard, I did not find the items small at all nor was the game dark on my monitor. It could be your settings.

This looks like a lovely game. Artwork and music are very nice. I found the intro a bit too lengthy and have already needed to use Hints several times in only about 15 mins. of demo. Maybe after playing a while, it will easier to figure out what to do next? So far, I've had a hard time finding things. Will wait for more reviews.

I had some interface issues with this game initially. I gave it some time, though, and now that I understand how the game works, I like it. I am enjoying the subject matter of this game and am going to use a punch card credit on it.

The developer, Daedalus, also worked on the game, "The Inquisitor." That game definitely had its flaws, but again I found the subject matter interesting enough that I persisted.

Will probably buy it this month. Thanks for the lovely walkthrough Ana, I wasn't sure what to do with the marble puzzle until I checked your walkthrough. Judy

I think most of the complaints on BigFish I see are because they do not understand how the game works and they think they are glitches when in fact they are not. It's too bad because the game really is not bad. I liked the fact there were no HOG scenes.

I agree with you 100%, Ana; most of the complaints on Big Fish have to do with folks not understanding how the game works. Patience is required. I thought the marble puzzle was glitchy until I actually took the time to figure out how it worked.

I also agree with your "adventure lite" categorization. The fact that the game is being called a HOG by Big Fish is inviting disappointment for those who download the game expecting to find that.

Hi,

I have got to where I have to make a bandage with herbs, water, brandy etc but when I try to put the herbs in the mortar nothing happens or if I try to put the water in the bowl the same thing happens. Also I can't find the pestle in the chest. Is it a glitch in the game?

Hi Mave,

I found this on the Big Fish forums.

Quote:
In order to complete the recipe you need to do things in this order, once you have the recipe, get the key to the chest, when you unlock the chest, only click on the bandage, if you click on anything else in the chest at this time it will stop you from putting the herbs in the mortar.

So collect the bandage, then the water, then the herbs and the brandy. Put the herbs in the mortar, then it tells you you need the pestle, which is in the chest, grind the herbs, click on the mortar to collect the ground herbs, add the water, ground herbs, brandy and bandage. The sparkles only come later in the game at a similar scene.

It would appear that the game is very picky at this point and I see several folks on the Big Fish forum having trouble with this sequence. The person who posted this said they had to restart the game under a new profile in order to get this to work.

Ana wrote the walkthrough; let's wait and see what she has to say about this. wave

I was a nsysayer on this one after just a few minutes of the demo. Now I'm rethinking. But I've already dumped the demo. Note to self: Wait until you see what your fellow GB's have to say before you jump to conclusions. grin

Hi Marian

I probably did click on everything in the chest. I hadn't seen the walkthrough then so I suppose the only thing I can do is start the game again.
Many thanks for your help.

Mave,

I'm sorry, Mave. Write to Big Fish about this; if they know that a lot of people are having this problem, hopefully these glitches will be addressed. frown wave

I am sorry Marian, I deleted my post since we both posted at the same time.

If you play in the order of the WT it should work, I did not have any issues. But as you know, we all play different and it's no fun to have to play using a WT for every move.

I would definitely let them know at BF customer service.

Ana luck
