Just to bump this up and holler for venus. Where are you, kiddo? More clues!

I wouldn't dream of guessing what this game is. wink

lol Traveler, I think it's safe to say you got it. I'm turning it over to you. grin

Sorry for the repetitious game. Will pay more attention next time. wink

Venus -- no need to apologize. It's been done before on purpose, actually. grin

Just curious -- who was the old friend in clue 2?

Brian Westhouse. smile I was thinking of the part where he shows up in the Journeyman Inn, and you can choose whether April decides to trust or distrust him based on her dialogue options.

You are going to be so sorry. You know all I ever come up with are games nobody's ever heard of or give you clues that are so oddball nobody can figure out what I'm talking about. grin Okay, give me a minute to think.

Okay, I have thought.

Clue 1: At my age, I'm going off to find scattered clues on how to fight the demonic Black King?

Gil.

Venus -- Aha! I was thinking maybe Crow, and trying to remember whether there were trust issues with him. grin I liked your youtube video selection, btw.

Dreamfall was a fascinating game, and I hope we learn how the story(ies) end at some point.

My guess for the clue: One of the AGON games?

Rather than keep you in an agony of suspense, I'll say...Yes! Now, which one? In my book, it's pretty abstruse but if you stick it out you can get it. grin

I'll take "stick it out" to refer to a sharp instrument -- AGON: Lost Sword of Toledo?

Nope, it's not the Lost Sword. There are 2 words in that sentence that you should pay attention to. Unfortunately, 'stick' isn't one of them.

Clue 2: It had me going back and forth trying to figure it out.

Becky, I agree about Dreamfall! I do hope we get some good news about a sequel at some point. Wouldn't want to be left hanging like that forever. smile

Thanks for the YouTube compliment. I actually saw the singer, Lea Salonga, live in that roll when I went to see Les Miserables in New York. thumbsup Bragging alert - I sing, too, and we have very similar sounding voices. grin

Venus -- I like your bragging alert. lol

I remember lots of books in the first AGON -- London. "In my book" -- that's my next guess. The library sounds like a good place to figure out the difference between abstruse and recondite.

As for back-and-forth -- isn't that true of just about every adventure game with a decent sized environment? laugh

You've got it, boss. <g> Book = codex. Abstruse = mysterious. (Dang, I wish I had thought of 'recondite'!) And 'back and forth' refers to having to read the runes right to left and left to right.

I like that brag, too. wink And I can't wait to see what form your clues take this time!
