Greetings all. This is my first post to these forums.

I'm curious if anyone might know the fate of a game that was announced some time ago. It is entitled Decay and I believe that it was being developed by the same gentleman responsible for the Delaware St. John games and Inherent Evil. I got to thinking about it recently in the midst of my disappointment over Bracken Tor being delayed. I've been craving a creepy adventure game to wind my way through. The website for the game is still online and it indicates that the game will release in Summer, 2011. The latest screenshots on display appear to be around a year old. I've been looking forward to this title since it was first announced and am earnestly hoping the project hasn't been abandoned. Has anyone heard any recent news about it?

The Developer has been working on Relics: Dark Hour which will be released soon. Perhaps after the release we can hear more on Decay.

Thanks very much for the information. smile I have to confess that Relics: Dark Hours had sailed under my radar. I wasn't aware of it at all. I love some of the old FMV adventure games and I'm glad to see there are some developers still producing them. I'll definitely want to try Relics out when it's released.

decay is, for the most part, in development limbo. The project originally began as a pairing between me and a friend who was going to create the art.

Unfortunately, said artist lost interest in the project about a third of the way through. In the last year I've come to an agreement with him to move forward with development myself.

Unfortunately, again, without an artist on the project I'm afraid I've taken the project as far as I can. The game is designed, half of the VO is recorded and the music is done but the assets are just going to sit until I can find a way to get art back on track.

I can apologize for the delay, but ultimately it's most frustrating for me the game has yet to release because I love this game and really want to finish it. Of course I'll keep everyone posted if development status changes and I do appreciate the ongoing interest in the project. Hopefully I'll figure a way to get it back on track.

Sorry to hear you've had such trouble finishing that game, Bryan. It's one I've been looking forward to for some time. I hope the perfect artist comes along soon and you can get started again. Sounds like it's a very frustrating situation for you.
