How wonderful to watch this special "child" grow up. Thank you.

Marcie is a girl!

She's about 8 weeks old and has learned to feed herself, fly abut, and honk like her mum! She also has this thing about grooming herself lol AND she prefers her millet spray instead of healthy food.

But mum Lucy has taught her to enjoy the occasional boiled egg.

She'll be in her own cage soon. Lucy is already laying eggs for round two! I think that Lucy and Schroeder need a hobby :P

Wow! She has grown and doesn't look like a baby anymore.

Will she have com[any in the new cage so she isn't lonely?

Marcie is gorgeous! What fun to have a little feathered friend actually hatch before your eyes and grow to be so beautiful. Awwwww.

At this point Ana, she won't have company but I will be able to place the cages next to each other. She'll also have a mirror until I find a suitable buddy for her. She does have a canary friend in another cage but he finds her a BIT annoying :P

l4l. Her mum did almost all of the feeding of Marcie.

Two of the babies didn't survive . What I may try to do is help her out with the next set of hatchlings. I'll see if I can help with the feeding during the day. It's a challenge because I don't want to touch them. Don't want mum to get mad at me
