Thanks, Ana. If you're looking for a game that fits in nicely with the seasonal holiday, keep looking, because this isn't it. wink12

But if you are looking for a really good game that will provide hours of challenges and entertainment, you've come to the right place with this game. It's way up there on my list of favorites for this year. thumbsUp12 wave12

lol12 I love your holiday comment! It is indeed a dark and twisted game but I loved every minute of it.

I was a bit scared off after reading the comments when the CE was released. But since I have some punch card credits coming, I think I'll go ahead and get this one. Glad I have a couple of games activated to play while I wait for the first of January. smile

Maybe we need a new acronym: MOPA (morphing object puzzle adventure). grin12

In this game, I have a "lazy" mouse - It just will not respond properly. Does this mean that I have to update my drivers? I don't think I have ever done this before, so I might need some help! help

I just finished this game. The one thing that I kept on saying to myself was "You have got to be kidding me, who in their right mind would come up with this stuff? Who in their right mind would give this game an A plus" Oh yeah,-----ME!

I must agree with Gordon.

Just like everyone else I read the reviews when the CE came out. And I must admit I was more than a little curious about all the uproar.

I don't know how far I am in the game (just unlocked the Proposal Gate), but I am having a wonderful time!

I am a person who always takes notes when I play a game, adventure or casual. Taking notes just adds to my enjoyment and is part of "my process". I am hip deep in notes and loving it.

Yes, there have been many occasions when it seems I have to consult the walkthrough every 20 minutes. But there are also stretches of time where everything comes together and I seem to makes tons of progress and I'm clicking on all eight cylinders. You can't replicate that feeling of figuring "it" out for yourself. Swoon.

Morphing objects...I've gotten better at locating them and use the hint button as needed.
Can you tell I love this game?
Jeanne

Does anyone know whether or not this game will ever be out on CD? I had problem getting it to download and would really like to have it, but it isn't available on CD now.

Jeepers, I think it's almost a certainty that it will be released on a CD, but the MCF series usually takes a few months to show up in a retail box after it's available as a download. The last MCF game, 13th Skull, showed up in a retail box about three months after Big Fish released it as a download. wave

Thanks Marian for info. I know I was told by someone in service over at BFG that sometimes the dev's don't want their games out on CD. Anyway, was just hoping I could buy it on the BFG game sight one day as a CD and didn't know if it was one of those games that fell into that category.

Jeepers, the reason you wouldn't be able to get a backup CD from the Big Fish Games website is because the file size of Escape From Ravenheart is too large. On the Big Fish website it says the following:

Quote:
Large File games 600MB or larger are not offered on backup CD.

That is why, if you don't want to have to download it, waiting for it to be released in a retail box would be your best bet. wave

I just finished Ravenhearst and Return to Ravenhearst and was wondering if I should get this one. The reviews made it sound really bad, but it sounds as if enough of you liked it that I'll give it a try!

I really enjoyed it. It has some bizarre contraptions and it's a bit twisted but if you aren't easily offended I think you'll love it.

I think this game, as twisted as it is, gives you the whole story and you somehow feel sorry for what the villian went through.

Quick question! Is it worth it getting the Collectors Edition on this? Does the regular game wrap everything all up or leave things hanging that the CE explains? And can we use a punch card towards it and have the rest be paid for?

Thanks!

The bonuses in the CE version include some collect-and-match puzzle-piece games (which were quite challenging and which I enjoyed). There is also a bonus hidden object game you can unlock if you pay close attention to your case book. It's all optional content, though, and you won't miss anything to do with the main storyline if you buy the standard version.

Punch card coupon codes can't be used on Collector's Editions, but Game Club credits can be used to purchase them. wave

Playing the trial and can't make the bar open the door. Does any nice Boomer offer what I'm doing wrong? I got all the morphs.

Using the metal bar on the door of the stove should work for you; that is how you get the lighter fluid. I can't think of why that wouldn't work for you. I don't remember reading that this part of the game was glitchy for anyone, although I suppose you could try exiting the game and reloading.

Hopefully someone else may have some better ideas about this. smile

Thanks, Marian, It has to be something I'm doing wrong, (or not doing.) I've even started a new name and that did nothing.
Ran out of time. I want to play so I think I'll use a credit. Since no one else has had a problem. I've clicked all over the lock.
