Just began to replay this game...Am at the bookstore, have spoken to Barnes, but can't for the life of me remember where the book is. Checked the WT, and have covered every shelf from top to bottom, but still can't find it. Help!

gillann, I hope this can be of help, taken from a note: from Barnes, turn right and go toward a grey door. The book is on the left on the bottom shelf. Chief

Am in the museum as the Inspector..the director gave him the keys to all the locked doors, but he won't open any of them. Just keeps saying No exit here, nothing to report. What's missing?

Lestrade won't open any of the doors. What you need to do with him is walk around *all* rooms and left-click on each and every exit door that you see. That includes the main doors in the foyer, as well as the side doors to the storeroom and restoration room (and possibly the glass roof in there), plus all the other gallery doors. Lestrade will comment on each one, as you've noted. When all the doors have been clicked on, Lestrade will make his conclusions and the game will continue.

Thanks, again. Now, at the Tower..The Warder has left to go find the Chief Warder. The WT mentions graffiti, but if I try to go forward through the gate, Holmes remarks he must wait for the warder...He's not the robber, etc. Where to go? The warder hasn't returned, and I can't go anywhere.

The graffiti is on the high wall just to the right of the main gate as you face it. You need to examine it in close-up (make note of anything interesting there). Then when you back out, the guard will return.

I'm in the dungeon with the shields and have picked up most of the weapons from the weapons room. Unfortunately, I placed the weapons by the shields in no particular order, so I could go get the others. Now, I can't seem to move them, the sword and morning star are still in the weapons room, and I have other weapons in inventory. I'll try to put those back, but still can't seem to get the ones in the dungeon to move. Drat! Any ideas?

That's the problem, Rushes. I took some of the weapons and placed them in the dungeon in random order...not where they're supposd to be. I still have 2 weapons in inventory, which I can't get rid of, and I have still to pick up the sword and morning star. Where to put the excess weapons is the problem. No place to put them in the dungeon, and they won't go back to their rack in the weapons room. Oops!

Thanks, Rushes. Now, I'm in the E/B exhibit with trying to translate the cunieform..Escapes me. Too, how does one reset the puzzle? I tried to bypass it and go to the reading room, but the card catalogue won't let me do that! What to do?

I really can't remember how to reset the puzzle unless you move out of it and then start the puzzle over. You click on the cuneiform on the man-2 monkey stele and follow the wt to get the code. Then do the puzzle. Click on a letter at left and select the cuneiform you think it represents on the pop up menu. The solution is in the wt also.

Thanks,MaG.Finally got it..still trying to over complicate things! Now, I'm working on the medal case, which seems very simple from what I recall, but am stuck on the 4th paragraph. You're to move medal 1 from row 4 to medal one in row 6, etc. Did that...nothing happened. Can't imagine what the problem is..it's not rocket science, but it's not working.

Did you replace *all* the medals from the identified column with those in the other column? Effectively the medals stay in the same row, but just swap columns.
Did Holmes say "Perfect" on the last paragraph that you did? If not, you might want to recheck that part first.

Got it..I'd missed one. Now, am having problems with the painted wood puzzle. The WT says to place the stick with 3-way connecters along the edge. There don't seem to be enough, and you can't turn the sticks so I'm stymmied. What am I missing? As always..Thanks!

Place the sticks with 3 way connectors at the edges. Place the long horizontal sticks at the bottom layer and the shorter horizontal sticks on the next top 2 layers. Try it this way:

Thanks, MaG..Got it and moved on. Now, I'm stuck in the castle having followed Lupin from one cell to another. Am trying to solve the lock puzzle with the Roman Numerals, and even with the picture via the WT in hand, it's not working.I've done it 5 times, and nothing is happening. Have no idea what I've missed.

jThanks, MaG. I have all the rods that were on the floor. 10 altogether. 5 on top row, 5 on bottom. The Numerals value is 81, top and bottom. The way I've set the rods looks identical to me, as the picture in the WT. Have no idea what's missing. Have done it over every which way, but nothing has worked, so far. It seems pretty straight forward to me, so I can't see what I've missed. Gr-rrr!

I'm in the dorm and am supposed to be getting the skates for the wheels and screw..Holmes clicks on them, and states something about surely a gift for a child. He doesn't pick them up. What's missing?I've been on track until now!

Have you tried clicking the screwdriver on them where they already are?
