I installed Moment of Silence a few days ago, and it took me almost 3 hours to install from the CD's. That's the longest install time I can remember. I bought the boxed US/Canadian version on eBay recently, and it was new and sealed. I have played it for several hours, and i think it's a very good game. Better than I thought it would be. I remember that I played a german demo several years ago, but I didn't like it so much then. Maybe that's because I couldn't figure out what to do Has anyone else experienced long install time on that game, or any other (adventure) games?

I'll move you to Glitches, maybe they can explain why. Ana

I played this game long time ago in a very good XP of that time that obviously doesn't compare with the new systems but I don't remember taking that long. I do remember every minute of the game though since I enjoyed the plot very much, may be this made me forget about the time of installation . I hope you enjoyed it that much also.

I am no tech type but could it also have been the Anti Virus Software scanning every file as it was trying to install?

Could be the case of A/V slowing down game installs, but in my case and my buddies case, I disabled all the A/Vs, malware softwares and anything else running in the background. I guess it's just one those moody games that either wants to install quickly or not. Anyway, it is not a knock against the game itself, it is a well made game which I am still playing, my only wish is that the Screen be a full screen and not a half screen, these old eyes of mine need as much space as one can get

I have the 4 CD set and I don't remember if it took 3 hours to install, but Yes, it did take a Long, Long time to install, the Longest Installation process of ALL the games I have installed and I have installed many games (approx. 600 games to date). My system: Win7 32bit Premium 3GB Ram and running very smooth and up to date.
Also my good buddy bought the 4CD version and likewise it took an Eternity to install, his system: Windows XP Professional SP3 4GB Ram and a very decent CPU, video card, etc. His computer is up to date...
So all this to say, "You are not alone"... How did you get it to run on Win 7? My copy wouldnt run on win 7 because of the starforce protection....

InlandAZ is right, the 4CD version does not have the blasted Starforce, I had the DVD version before that wich has the Idiotic Starforce protection and No Luck with Win7, I wound up giving it to another buddy of mine (who has XP) as a Birthday Gift, yah I know, I am cheap in giving a friend a "Used gift", but he was happy anyway.
