Bart, with $10,000, we'd be millionaires! We could buy all kinds of useful things like...love!
Homer Simpson
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two cannibals, a father and son, were elected by the tribe to go out and get something to eat. They walked deep into the jungle and waited by a path.
Before long, along came this little old man. The son said, "Ooh dad, there's one." "No," said the father. "There's not enough meat on that one to even feed the dogs. We'll just wait."
Well, a little while later, along came this really fat man. The son said, "Hey dad, he's plenty big enough." "No," the father said. "We'd all die of a heart attack from the fat in that one. We'll just wait."
About an hour later, here comes this absolutely gorgeous woman.
The son said, "Now there's nothing wrong with that one dad. Let's eat her."
"No," said the father. "We'll not eat her either."
"Why not?" asked the son.
"Because, we're going to take her back alive and eat your mother."
I was enjoying the second week of a two-week vacation the same way I had enjoyed the first week: by doing as little as possible.
I ignored my wife's not-so-subtle hints about completing certain jobs around the house, but I didn't realize how much this bothered her until the clothes dryer refused to work, the iron shorted and the sewing machine motor burned out in the middle of a seam. The final straw came when she plugged in the vacuum cleaner and nothing happened.
She looked so stricken that I had to offer some consolation.
"That's okay, honey," I said. "You still have me."
She looked up at me with tears in her eyes. "Yes," she wailed, "but you don't work either!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`

The bride, upon her engagement, went to her mother and said, "I've found a man just like father!"

Her mother replied, "So what do you want from me, sympathy?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While her husband was lying down, his wife removed his glasses. "You know, honey," she said sweetly, "Without your glasses you look like the same handsome young man I married."
"Honey," he replied with a grin, "Without my glasses, you still look pretty good too!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Every Saturday morning he has an early tee time. He gets up early and eager, golfs all day long, sometimes 36 holes.

Well, one Saturday morning he gets up early, dresses quietly, gets his clubs out of the closet and goes to his car to drive to the course.

Coming out of his garage rain is pouring down; torrential downpour.

There is snow mixed in with the rain, and the wind is blowing 50 mph.

He returns to the garage. He comes back into the house and turns the TV to the weather channel. He finds it's going to be bad weather all day long, so he puts his clubs back into the closet, quietly undresses and slips back into bed.

There he cuddles up to his wife's back, now with a different anticipation, and whispers, "The weather out there is terrible." To which she sleepily replies, "Can you believe my stupid husband is out golfing in that stuff?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I married Miss Right. I just didn't know her first name was Always.
It's not true that married men live longer than single men. It only seems longer.
Losing a wife can be hard. In my case, it was almost impossible.
A man was complaining to a friend: 'I had it all - money, a beautiful house,a big car, the love of a beautiful woman; then, Pow! it was all gone!' 'What happened?' asked the friend. 'My wife found out..'
Wife: Let's go out and have some fun tonight. Husband: Okay, but if you get home before I do, leave the hallway light on.
How many men does it take to open a beer? None. It should be opened by the time she brings it to the couch.
A man rushes into his house and yells to his wife, 'Martha, pack up your things! I just won the California lottery!' Martha replies, 'Shall I pack for warm weather or cold?' The man responds, 'I don't care. Just so long as you're out of the house by noon!'
Women will never be equal to men until they can walk down the street bald and still think they are beautiful!
I haven't spoken to my wife for 18 months - I don't like to interrupt her.
If your wife and a lawyer were drowning and you had to choose, would you go to lunch or to a movie?
A man is incomplete until he is married. After that, he is finished.
Off to Wally Mart to buy yet another short hose connector thingy. This is the second one to split so I'm going to have to go for the 'big bucks' one. It connects my outdoor faucet to the hose reel and thank goodness it only went a few minutes ago or I'd have a horrible water bill. Whew!
Well, Super Saturday to all Ya'll puppy
I think we have had 7000 kids running through this house in the past few days. Hubby has left to deliver them back to mom, and I'm determined to drink 1 entire cup of coffee without getting up. It hasn't happened yet but hope springs eternal.
We think we figured out what Lil Soot's problem was last night so we are back on track to healing. I know I'll do some cleaning but not much. Mostly I just want to listen to the Quiet. rotfl wave
Well, I did indeed get to sit through 1 entire cup of coffee. Then up and cleaning and now my back has said "STOP" in no uncertain terms. So off to bed to put a heating pad on my back and watch football and Lil Soot!
Back later wave
Managed to get my outdoor hose back to running order. Had to buy 2 'short hoses' and connect them to reach the reel to the faucet, but I think I'm good for now. Hope this one doesn't split too.
Still cleaning out stuff. Tired. Wake up at night thinking about things I need to gather.
Cooked my second New York Prime steak. I'm so spoiled. Was again, yummy and tender and I made the indoorsies wait forever before they got a tiny bite. Too good to share. catrub
