Hi folks,

I know this is an older game but I just never got around to it til now and I am having trouble starting it.

It installed ok on my Win XP Pro PC which has 4 gigs Ram - 512 mb nvidia card and has more than enough power to play it.

The issue is that when I start the game - I immediately get a MSDXM6.ocx error about a missing or not properly registered file.

My system is up-to-date and has the MSXML service packs too.

Has anyone else run into this ? If so - what was your 'fix'

Thank you

I think if you write to mdna games (aka Michael from Sweden), he will help you out. I seem to remember a similar thread here where some people had similar problems with some older mdna games.

I'm not sure what solution Michael will use, but If I remember correctly, it could exchange of a file someting like that...

Karsten has a good suggestion. I googled this error message and it was suggested on one thread that some Windows Update might possibly have caused this problem. The experts here might be able to suggest a fix, too. wave

I have another PC with XP installed and the game runs just fine on that PC.

I will contact mdna in the meantime and I thank you for that suggestion.

I found a patch on MDNA website that addressed an audio issue - the patch installed the MSDXM6.ocx file that the game was complaining about.

I installed the patch and I can now play this game.

I guess we can call this one closed - thank you!

yay
