Off to the Danish Pastry shop today. I'm hooked after only one bite. Sis and niece introduced me to it for my birthday surprise. It's like giving a free 'sample' of drugs to get you hooked. Now I'm craving that sweet (not too sweet) yummy flaky pastry stuff. My friend/tenant is going with me. He heard me talking so much about it that he's just gotta come too. Lovely. We shall probably need the ambulance later today for a major sugar overdose!

Raccoon still visiting occasionally. It's or rather they are the little guys (fully grown but short tailed) and they emptied the dry food feeder. Then they emptied the water dish and managed to pull it away from its spot so the slow drip from the faucet was not going in the dish. Sigh. Luckily I have TWO water dishes and the other was full. Whew. Don't want any thirsty outdoorsies. The 'deck guardian' (one of the kitten crew who has taken over that job) was screaming at me and running over there to alert me that I was not doing my job. She loves loves loves water. Will actually sit right in front of the hose stream when I water plants. Strange cat. Plays in water. I'll bet she would swim in it if I had a pool.

Hi Boomers. I have a virus in my other pc and haven't been able to get it in to my expert as of yet. We have had Horrible weather and that has only been part of it! It always seems to happen when hubby is gone. I stayed at my Mum's for two days as I just can;t take the 100 MPH winds by myself. Now hoping to have some roof problems corrected although it is getting windy again and ready for another round of it. Definitely not supposed to be as bad this time but I am sooo gunshy!! I've missed coming here and hope things will settle down soon and I can get my other pc in order. To those who can, Happy Gaming! Enjoy those pastries Sorta, makes me want some too!!

Well, it's 77 outside here and overcast. Considering these posts I'm bathing in this fine weather. Chives are starting to grow and my amaryllis has bloomed. Always welcome. Stay warm all and be careful especially driving.

Oh Sorta you make me hungry for pastries. It's been 5-6 years I haven't eaten sugar - veryvery little sugar - no doughnuts - miss it mostly in coffee and tea. But I lost 56 pounds.

Welcome to the weekend Boomers.

Howdy everybody. I'm on vacation.

I came home and ate, and then I went down to the creek with Baby.

We were in the low 70s all day, but it didn't take long for me to run out of light.

Then I couldn't find Baby. I called for her all the way back to the house. She wasn't at the house, so I put my boots back on and walked back down to the creek calling for her. I walked all the way down the creek, and back to the house and could not find her, so I put my shoes on and got in my truck and drove down the back roads looking for her with no luck. Well I was imagining the worst by then, but when I got back to the house she was there waiting with her tail wagging.

Now I'm showered and ready for a nice evening and a week off.

Hi Joe. Glad the panic button wasn't pushed about Baby. Glad she showed up. Whew!

I'm calling it a night. Work in the morning. I'm sure I'll have to shovel. We'll be getting snow starting about 6:00 AM. Oh well. It hasn't been a snowy winter so far.

Pastries! Yummy. Not super sweet, just enough and mostly flaky pastry and fruit on top with a very light custard cream. Oh to die for.

Cleaned out more stuff. Got into shed, managed to swap my old hump top really old trunk for my file cabinet which was now empty. Trunk contained about 59 Quaker Lace tablecloths. I'd forgotten how many I'd collected over the years from the thrift stores. Never paid more than 5 bucks for any of them. Use the lighter ones for curtains in my little old house. Interesting to see my many windows with different patterns of lace. Fun stuff. Now all the cloths are happily together in the trunk in the house and I can find and use them easily. And sorted out the oval/round ones for my dining room table and added them to my existing stash. So pretty. Love thick lace.

Moving the trunk let me get to those 8x2' rug runners I'd stored. Donating 3 of the 5. Found all my sheer curtains and others that I use for the rentals (when someone moves) and some in my house (when mine finally shred from sun damage). Nice to be able to get to all my stuff now. Getting better and better.

Tired now. Ugh.

Midge hopefully there won't be too much snow to shovel. They are talking about 2-4 inches here on Sunday. Sure can use the insulation of it. Night and sleep tight.
