Have you gotten into the apartments yet?

The key can be found in front of the apartments.

I understand just what you mean, Marlene. I'm a long-time computer gamer from way back (I can't believe it's about 30 years now eek ) and certain games will always have a special place in our hearts. smile

Yeah, 30 years! ago I played Atari with my kids. We had so much fun! I guess that's the reason. Now, back to the subject. My one and only complaint is that the last 2 games did not come up for retail sales on disk. I have an old computer in our vacation home in Northern Michigan and we don't have internet up there. It's available but really it's not necessary. An added expense. Anyway, I would like to play the later games on that computer. I have looked online and even sent an inquiry to Jolly Bear Games asking if a disk is available for sale. I wrote to them twice but received no response. I am assuming that there is no game disk. I wonder why? Interestingly there is a German version of Big City Vancouver but it's in German and that's all that is available. But never mind. I am playing this new one and loving it! grin

I did get into the apartments. There is drawer in there that I cannot open because I don't have the code yet...may be in there? However, I am moving on in other areas so maybe I just am not ready to solve it yet. I am continuing on and having a blast. I'll keep at it and will let you know when I figure it out and I WILL figure it out! I hope? smile

Thanks Marian.....

Have fun, Barbara. I think that's all it is; we just aren't ready to solve it yet. I'm sure you will figure it out. thumbsup wave

I thought something was different. I knew the older games were not IHOG's. I dwnld'd the IHOG version.I am glad they did something old, something new.

Hi, everyone!

I'm at the point where I'm supposed to give the guard at St. James Palace sweet bread and herbs. To obtain the last herb, the walkthrough says to lift the rope that's tied to the dock at the entrance but, no matter what I try, I'm unable to take the rope. Is this a glitch, or did I miss something? I have the toy mouse.

Thanks!

Susan

Susie, I can't see anyone reporting it as a glitch on BF. Hopefully someone that has played will be along to help.

Hi, Ana!

Thanks for your response. I hope someone can figure out what I'm missing because I've tried everything and am getting nowhere.

Susan, I haven't played the game either and I'm not finding anything on the BF forum that might help you out, unfortunately. I can see that this game can be kind of tricky, though, judging from some of the comments on the forum. I hope someone who has played on through will be able to help. wave

Did you use the mouse on the cat? That's how you get one of the herbs (I just don't remember which one).

It's a great game. I bought both versions.

Hi, Kathy!

Thanks for your help. I did eventually throw the toy mouse to the cat and got the last herb, but I still couldn't take the rope. Very strange!

Although the previous Big City Adventure games were fun, I really like the changes the developers made in this one. I'm hoping the next game they make (and there are a lot of big cities left) will follow this new IHOG format.
