Per travelers walkthrough it states you need to:

Quote:
Tower Setting the track coordinates.
Turn the dial to =. Write down the number beside it.
Turn the dial to A. Subtract this number from the first one.
Go past B, which is empty.
Turn the dial to C. Subtract that number from the total of = minus A.
Turn the dial to B. Enter the total of = minus A minus C.
A light will come on. Repeat the procedure twice more. Your track coordinates are set.

Giovanna,

Did you do this?

Turn the dial to =. Write down the number beside it.

Turn the dial to A. Subtract this number from the first one.

Turn the dial to C. Subtract that number from the total of = minus A.

Turn the dial to B. Enter the total of = minus A minus C.

A light will come on. Repeat the procedure twice more. Your track coordinates are set.

Gil.
Slooooow again. lol

Giovanna,
Let's wait for help for you.

Just wonder - after entering your calculated number is there an enter key or do you press the enter key?
Does the light come on?

Giovanna, check Chief's questions on THIS older thread, and my replies to him, and see if that makes it any clearer for you.

Rushes,

I've changed the description of setting the track coordinates a little since the mention of going past B seemed to be confusing people. And I've added the example you gave Chief. With any luck, it should be clear now. smile

Giovanna, the number beside = should be a different one when you go back to it. You start the formula over again with a new number for the 2nd track coordinate and another new number for the 3rd.

@traveler

Thank you for your help, but once I solved it the first time one light is on and when I continue with the second one= the number is the same. Do I have to leave the riddle and do it again, please clarify, I'm really confused.
The first number is 218 the others? cool

Giovanna,

The number beside the = sign after the first light came on and you went back to the = sign is 218?

Okay, so you're on the second time and the number beside the = sign is 218. What number is now beside C?

Gil.

The number 218 is the one I put in the empty slot for the first light. My God I'm so confused. eek

Giovanna,

218 is right to get the first light to come on. Now you have to start again. Once that light is on, go back to = and see what number is beside it this time. Then subtract the new number beside A from that, and keep going just like you did before.

If that's not clear enough, I can play through the game again and maybe get an answer to you with numbers tonight. Unfortunately, my saves for this game never work when I reinstall it, so it will take me a while.

Let me know. smile

Giovanna, it's no problem for me to load that game up again. It just takes a while to play through to that point. If tomorrow will do (since it's getting late and I'm in a huge brawl on one of my dog forums <g>) I'll be glad to find those numbers for you.
