ritchiesbabe Settled Boomer Registered: 02/24/04 Posts: 741 Loc: Manchester	Hi there drivers seem to be gone on my archaic pc downstairs can anyone give me a link to the correct drivers I need please. I have done belarc advisor and I have the following Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device VIA AC'97 Audio Controller (WDM) Vinyl AC'97 Codec Combo Driver (WDM) I do hope someone can help me as my dad is getting very annoyed at no sound on the pc. _________________________ "Life's a game. Robert Gault Addicted Boomer Registered: 07/16/06 Posts: 1215	You are trying to make use of a chip on the mother board. Your BIOS will have a section permitting activation or disabling of the AC97 chip. Make sure that the BIOS is set to make the sound chip active, [AUTO] or [ON] or something similar.

It's most likely a driver issue - Description of Code 10-related errors that Device Manager generates in Windows-based computers
