It takes two letters to change a word completely. In this quiz, simply take a word, add the same letter to both the beginning and the end, and the result is a new word. An example is in Q1. Enjoy!

Ex:Take a word that means 'to look after' (CARE), add the same letter to each end, and give me a synonym for 'frightens' (SCARES). Obviously, S was added on each end of CARE to make the new word.

-1.Take a vehicle sometimes referred to as a cab, add the same letter to each end, and give me the inability to control muscles.

-2.Take a slang word for urine or a word that the Scottish use when referring to something small, add the same letter to each end, and give me the sound a young bird might make or a message posted on the popular social media website Twitter.

-3. Take a word that means small, prickling sensations, add the same letter to each end, and give me a word used to describe an insect without the means to inflict pain by piercing the skin.

-4. Take a quantity of paper, add the same letter to each end, and give me a shortened version of a device also known as a control amplifier.

-5. Take a word for a primate with no tail, add the same letter to each end, and give me the extension of a coat collar.

-6. Take an old European gold coin, add the same letter to each end, and give me a word that means 'to teach'.

-7.Take a word meaning 'develop, adapt or metamorphose', add the same letter to each end, and give me a firearm.

8.Take a word that is usually used as a suffix in words indicating a view of something, add the same letter to each end, and give me an absconder or runaway. e---p-e

-9.Take a European currency, add the same letter to each end, and give me a cell in the central nervous system.

-10.Take a word meaning a slow stroll, add the same letter to each end, and give me someone who likes to go walking in the country.

wink
