The letters of the answer to the first part of the clue can be transposed to form the answer of the second half of the clue. If you find the first part of the clue is elusive then move on to the second part and work your way backwards wink

Example: transpose a garment into a tiresome person -> robe - bore

All solutions are less than 5 letter words.

-- 1. Transpose having sufficient power into a package of raw material bound with twine.
-- 2. Transpose a challenge to someone into one that is greatly loved.
-- 3. Transpose a competitive activity into a magician.
-- 4. Transpose a spiritual leader into disable or disfigure.
-- 5. Transpose a steady, easy gait into a long tapering wooden shaft.
-- 6. Transpose cooking food with dry heat into the horny mandible structure of a bird.
-- 7. Transpose the extension on the heels of a horseshoe into a deficiency or absence.
-- 8. Transpose a small, wingless, bloodsucking insect into a sheet of paper bound in a book.
-- 9. Transpose the act of transporting into a Polynesian dance.
-- 10. Transpose a light framework covered with cloth or paper into a young person.
