This is a common issue with Norton that is being corrected.
The file is completely safe to use - Norton (and now McAfee apparently) don't detect any actual virus in the files - they seem to simply apply techniques that label any file that doesn't meet certain requirements as potentially dangerous, even when they're not.
Please see the thread in glitches where I have outlined a temporary workaround for Norton, which involves creating an exclusion folder, and will allow the game to be installed and played without issue.
Also, check the quarantine area in case the file hasn't actually been completely deleted - if it's in there, you should be able to restore it, which should then mean the AV leaves it alone.
Hope that helps.
