Evelyn, hope the headache eases quickly.

Ana, if I shine a flashlight into the tunnel...?

'Something' is making a strange sound in my kitchen. I'm trying to decide whether I want to meander in there and locate it. Weird sound. Maybe it's ghosts. Ohhhhh!

Flameless candles are awesome. I've had them 'running' since Friday and am going to see how many days the batteries last. So neat to see a nice glowing candle in my hallway at night. Great invention. Almost threw out all my real candles until I realized that in a power failure, I might also be out of batteries! Keeping a few real ones just in case.

Dripping, spitting rain a tiny bit outside. Very quiet today since people are not venturing out in the 'rain'. It's not even enough to wet down the sidewalk. Phooooo!

Visitors (moved tenant and his frequent flyer brother) are still here, sort of. Strange. Each goes his separate way. They don't seem to do anything together. Cars missing for hours and hours and of course the one I dislike has already washed his truck TWICE while he's here. I should be a 'pay for water' device on their outside hose. rotfl

Still cleaning out my house. Only two sheds to go and then a little fine tuning. Having loads of fun. Did my 'warranty and instruction' file that I have for all my appliance and stuff. It's all tidy now. Found I need some 'folder hangers' for 2 of my file drawers. Must have only done 2 of the 4 in my antique oak file cabinet so now I must shop for the others so my stuff won't slip down. Endless search since I must find the 'older' ones that are in thrift stores. The new ones seem to be made of very thin metal and are not nearly as sturdy. Progress?

Joe, don't ever stop posting your jokes of the day. I keep my sister entertained by sending her one each day. She goes hysterical. Thanks.

Off to check on the weird noise. Just have to do it. If I'm not back in 3 days, send out a search party. scared

Nan, vacuuming the furniture is taking the couch cushions off etc and cleaning under them. Son lets the kids eat down here on occassion and they get crumbs everywhere. Then the dogs try to dig in the furniture to get to the crumbs. eek Thus the hated vacuuming! Are you still icing and propping your ankle?

Stay warm Joe.

High awl,

Well our weekend has been just pippy, didn't get above 25 on Saturday, and hasn't gotten much higher today so far. Oh yeah, simply love it--that I have to stay out of that cold for two whole days.

We did get flurries Saturday morning, and supposedly today, but nothing so far. That I can live with. If I didn't see any more white stuff until Spring it'd suit me fine. I say this because the crazies seem to come out of the woodwork when the roads get snow packed icy.

The snow we had last Tuesday saw two vehicles off on the side of the highway laying on the passenger side; a pickup truck pulled back onto the highway right in front of a semi, and when the semi checked up it started to slide and it took that driver a little time before he straightened it out; had a driver pass me on a blind curve, on snow packed ice with two west bound cars no more than 300 feet away, and this yo-yo couldn't see them, causing me to either watch him hit one or both of those cars or me head for the shoulder giving that moron the road, which I did. Nope, if I don't see any more snow until Spring I'll be a very happy camper.

Enjoy what time you have left in the day.

TTFN...
