I got it yesterday and have played through twice already. It's extraordinary. Certainly not for everyone, but as an experience in itself it is a beautiful one. Worth replaying over for different visuals and narration.

Just finished.
Well... it is a unique experience and a unique game, that's for sure. However, it is really hardly a game as such. And I did find it incredibly short.
The graphics, atmosphere and sounds (+voice acting) were simply superb. I would pay a lot more to get a lengthy game (with puzzles and all) that feels like that.
I wasn't as amazed as you, Ladycav, but I'm happy I purchased it. I will replay it sometime soon.

IT's a stunning looking game. And quite realistic in that you're rather walking at normal speed...no running allowed or "speed ups". It does feel a bit sluggish because of this,but just...the visuals...beautiful! THe music is also incredible,and the narrator script and voice are also pleasing.
Relatively quick DL from Steam...no virus issues...
One nitpick I have is...no saves? Really? I have to start each level from scratch? That seems excessive.I"m not a programmer,but why dont ALL game devs..indie or otherwise...include save slots...or at least auto-saves...nowadays?
I fell in the water trying to swim to the abandoned ship,and apparently drowned as I couldnt swim anywhere or see anything,so I had to restart chapter 1....a save slot would've been nice before this happened!
Anyway,still a lonely,immersive game...just my style!
***Edited to add...THIS is one reason why I LOVE LOVE LOVE the GB site and forum. I just happened to log onto it,saw a post about Esther (which I hadnt been aware of)...and an hour later I'm playing it! Thanks Carla and GB!

EDIT: WOw...the caverns...I have honestly never seen a more beautiful area in a game. Stunning.I've been playing this for almost 3 hours straight and my shoulders are aching! This is one heck of a beautiful game.

So beautiful! just bought it tonight and have been wandering around just looking at everything, almost feeling the wind in my hair as I move. Very nice! I only wish I could pick up things and bring them with me, lol, but like others have said it's not that kind of game. Still, I'm intrigued by the dialog and what's to come, and by the beautiful graphics. I feel like if Myst were made today, these are the kind of graphics that might be used. SWOON! Tracy, trying to forget about Skyrim and finding it's not that hard to do in a place like this!

Anyone else seen any of the ghosts that wander around the island? They appear every now and then, although if you look directly at them they disappear. You have to pan away a little. The water effects are simply gorgeous. And those CAVES.
