hi mag. i am at the spare cartridge trick and gone through the 7 steps to complete the trick, but can't find the magic wand icon. it's supposed to be at the bottom right but can't find it. i have all 7 comments on screen. can you help, please? robert.

It should be at bottom of screen.
If you still can't find it, best to replay the sequence again.

Did you this before the magic trick?

Open the magic book and turn the pages to Up in Smoke trick.
Especially this - Click on Up in Smoke page to select the trick.

hi mag. i have restored my game to the windy dog pub, looked at the sign which i didn't do before, but now - how do i exit to talk to the boy in front of alice's shop and convince him to be a volunteer, etc? i'm stuck at the windy dog pub. i have also tried the white exit box at lower left corner but no go. robert.

You should have an exit hotspot. Maybe move around.

If you still can't - use the map to go out and then come back there.

I believe that those saved games are after each subchapters.

Select the chapter you want and download it to desktop.
I think that the saves inside that Chapter's folder finishes a subchapter in that chapter and the sequence is based on Lily's walkthrough - HERE.
Then unzip that folder and see the saved games files inside.

Open your Gray Matter folder found in My Documents folder.
Check the last number you have there.
Renumber the saved game file you chose and place together with your own saved game folder.
Play-load as usual.

As I mentioned - you have to chose based on her walkthrough
- I think that the saves inside that Chapter's folder finishes a subchapter in that chapter and the sequence is based on Lily's walkthrough - HERE.

So check her walkthrough.
Find where your place in the game and count the subchapters there.
Then select that one. It will be the end of that subchapter.

I don't have saves for this game - so I can not give exactly where you stopped.
