Andrea, sorry you couldn't get it to work for you and you are welcome for my help anytime. I'm a self taught incompetent where the computer is concerned , but making many mistakes has helped me learn a lot through the years.
I'm glad you're not going to let it get you down and you're going to enjoy this massive game.

Tracy -- good heavens, girl, how many men have you married? Besides, my husband, Balimund, I mean?

And I know what you mean about annoying, gratuitous remarks. The one that annoys me the most is the guy in Whiterun who says "Know what's wrong with Skyrim these days?" every single time I walk by him. The answer of course is "YOU are what's the matter with Skyrim these days."

Annoying? Well there's Barbas, the dog, who kept pushing me around all the time until I found a mod to fix that problem. Then there's my follower who, when I'm standing still, runs into me and then says Ow like it's my fault for standing in her way.

Oldman -- Yes and yes! And Barbas's voice drives me insane too.

Annie---LOL!!! Well, I guess I'm a serial monogamist because I've married: Farkas, Vilkas, Balimund, Erik the Slayier, Belrand (after downloading a mod that made him really cute!), Argis the Bulward, and Calder (after downloading a mod that made him cute too! LOL) So....I've had quite a bit of experience with marrying in Skyrim, and unfortunately, all of the marriages are/were as boring as the very first! I really like some of the guys and of course, some of their faces and stuff, but unfortunately, it's still the same-ol' same-ol' as far as dialog goes.

Now that the CK is out I'm looking forward to learning how to make mods so that myself and anyone who's interested can have some dating, flirting, etc. before getting married and THEN having some much better/interesting dialog afterwards. Right now I'd settle for an "I love you" from one of these guys, I swear! LOL

Annie---boy I hope so. I haven't even begun to learn it yet, but maybe when I get my feet wet and figure it out I'll be able to conjure him up! LOL!
