Daedalic Entertainment and Deep Silver announced today that the new adventure „The Dark Eye”: Chains of Satinav“ is now expected to be released towards the end of Q2 2012. The precise date will be announced shortly: Daedalic Entertainment and Deep Silver decided to extend the development of the game in order to further optimize the game’s performance. Daedalic-CEO Carsten Fichtelmann explains: “The very high potential of “Chains of Satinav” was confirmed by the very good first reviews we got throughout the media. However considering the few points criticized, as well as our own quality tests, we recognized that the performance of the game still requires some optimizing. Since the quality of the game is our highest priority, we decided to extend the development phase of “Chains of Satinav”. That way we can provide the best possible gaming experience to our players.” In “The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav”, players can dive into a brand new fantasy-adventure. In the role of the young trapper Geron from the northern kingdom of Andergast, they get caught up in a sinister conspiracy. The people of Andergast, are considered to be notoriously superstitious, and have been at odds with their neighbours from the kingdom of Nostria for a long time. Now, first steps are taken towards a lasting peace. But this peace as well as the festive mood of the royal quest is disturbed by a mysterious plague of crows. The birds, behaving with unusual aggressiveness, are even attacking humans. To get rid of this plague, the king seeks a skilled bird catcher - an opportunity for young Geron to prove that the reputation for ill luck that has followed him since childhood is undeserved. Following an audience with the king, the prestigious task is assigned to him. However, not only does his chore proves unexpectedly difficult, but it also turns out to be the first step into the greatest adventure of his life, which will lead him to the uncharted lands of Aventuria and beyond. Adventure-fans await stunning hand-drawn backgrounds, elaborately animated characters in HD resolution, tricky riddles and a gripping story. Thanks Carla. This game is really looking good. It might be the second game I buy this year, ehm, I mean that is an adventure game. I plan on buying The Book of Unwritten Tales as well.
This game, however, looks amazing as well as the story behind it sounds promising and by this game I mean, of course, Chains of Satinav.
