I just got my copy yesterday. Sadly, just one day after I lost my hard-disk and all my previous saves. I had a Vanguard Shepard starting all the way from the original Mass Effect, and was looking forward to continuing her story.

Anyway, wondering if anyone has a savegame they want to share for import? I've started over from scratch but I would like to see if there's any difference.

First interesting thing about this game, there is an option when you start up to play the game fully action, RPG, or fully adventure. So it should provide something for everyone. I'm playing RPG but if someone has it and has tried the other types, could you share what it's like?

Anyone else got it yet?

I have the game for PC and imported my ME2 games. I play as a male (I am a female in "real" life).

I played the Demo in the PC and in the PS3 also, without importing anything.

For what I see it makes only a difference in your relationship with your squad, romance and whether they survived or not.

I read it is very important whether or not you saved (or destroyed) the Collector’s Base from Mass Effect 2. If you don't import it is assumed the Base was destroyed. I destroyed mine, then this would't affect anything in my case unless I decide to play the end of ME2 again.

A site called masseffectsaves.com has a long range of mass effect 2 saves for people who have been as unlucky as smooshmonster have or accidentally have deleted their me2 save.

I only played the demo (so far) and yes, there is a difference: In story mode, it is nearly impossible to die. Then again, I also played on casual or easy in this story mode...

No, L4L. Been busy with Skyrim, and it got shuffled aside for the present. I do intend to check it out now though.

Edit: And I haven't bought ME3 yet.
EDIT2: Just got ME2 out of mothballs. Turns out I bought the Coll. Ed. (lol)

I'm playing it too smile
I did however make the mistake to look up a few missions on the web.
Don't do that if you don't want to have the game spoiled for you - I'm talking about the endings here... frown
No matter how careful you are, you can't miss the statements about the endings.

So now I'm not so keen to finish the game...

It is very sad to play an enjoyable and long game and reach a bad end. I almost cried at the end of Resistance 2, and the end was the only one. frown

I had to play the ending parts of ME2 to get my people alive because in my first play they were dying whatever I did, I had to find the reasons for their death online before being able to have a good end.

As I understand it is possible to get a good end for ME3 also, not easy but possible, check HERE . There are not big spoilers in the main part of this page, there could be if reading the comments, then only read these if you don't mind to be spoiled.

For those of us who don't want to get a bad ending there is a guide HERE about how to gather "war assets" to improve the ending.

It is not a real spoiler but for people who want to experience the game and don't mind the ending they get, this guide is better avoided. It describes which missions have to be completed to get certain alliances.

Wow. Thanks so much for that! I found a save that is almost exactly my Shepard, right down to the romance choices.

I would recommend getting a savegame if you can't import. The game makes decisions for you otherwise, and they're not always ideal.

Cheers Karsten!

After playing the game for a while I agree that it is very important to import a game where most of the squad survived. My MS2 last save was good. For people who didn´t keep all or almost all the squad alive it is better to download one of those saved games.

Gibbed has now released a savegame editor so if you don't like your choices from Mass Effect 2 or Mass Effect, you can edit your save and change history.

http://benchmark3d.com/mass-effect-3-save-game-editor

It was useful for me since I had to download a savegame and it wasn't 100% like mine.

Or if you want to retry the game with different choices like the collector base saved, you don't need to replay Mass Effect 2.
