The letters of the answer to the first part of the clue can be transposed to form the answer of the second half of the clue. If you find the first part of the clue is elusive then move on to the second part and work your way backwards wink

Example: transpose a garment into a tiresome person -> robe - bore

All solutions are 4 letter words.

- 1. Transpose a poet into a dull appearance
- 2. Transpose a weedy plant into a rip
- 3. Transpose a mammal into a slope
- 4. Transpose a burrowing mollusk into a peaceful state
- 5. Transpose a dish into a monarch

- 6. Transpose an asset (article of commerce) into bear (article of clothing) think

- 7. Transpose vegtable matter into a recording
- 8. Transpose a young mammal into a baked item
- 9. Transpose a musical activity into an unforeseen obstacle
- 10. Transpose a trading center into a streetcar
