I'm a happy camper again. My replacement computer power supply arrived and is installed. Oh so great to have it working again.
THEN a while ago I briefly told everyone about our local school board members being indited on felony corruption, bribery, etc. charges. In 2 days, their lawyers were to appear in court to have the actual trial date set. So today..tada..the first of the clan fell. The contractor (who got the bribes) changed his plea from 'not guilty' of felony bribery, to 'guilty' of a lesser charge of interference with a governing board. And he will testify against all the board members who he says "insisted on gifts and gratuities", in return for giving him contracts. Oh boy.
He's the first, now the rest of them will start jumping ship and we will finally see some resolution to this corruption in our little local school system. I say little but it's the second largest school system in Calif. What a grand turn of events. Less trials, less taxpayers money being used up and probably a good outcome with the 'correct' people being punished in a timely manner. At the very least, we all hope that the board members will resign. So far they continue to govern and our parents and students are not happy at all.
