No, flotsam, but good guess. smile

Clue 4: Why is that scary-looking man eyeing me like that? Oh, he likes me. This is going to go well.

To recap:
Clue 1: Musical instruments are very helpful in this game.
Clue 2: The theater is also appreciated. A little too much by this guy if you ask me, who couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.
Clue 3: Swimming in these waters can be dangerous. And you only want to get caught once.
Clue 4: Why is that scary-looking man eyeing me like that? Oh, he likes me. This is going to go well.

Well, that was a big help. <g>

The Silver Lining could fit in there.

Chief, you are definitely thinking along the right lines. And on that note, I leave you with the next clue.

Clue 5: My avatar would approve of this game. grin

venus, it certainly is a King Quest. yay

And since I only played parts of a few of them, I have no idea of which one it is.

I think you can strike KQ1 and KQ2, Chief. I could make a guess from clue 4 but nah, wouldn't be fair since I haven't played it.

Does "It's up for grab" mean random people can choose random numbers and they win?

In that case I choose KQ5!
Needless to say I haven't played any of 'em.

No, it does not mean that.

Traveler post said it all:

And that is why I'm not guessing a number myself since I can't prove my point for my choice.

I've played King's Quest VII to the end. And though I could make a case for clues 3 and 4, I can't remember anything to do with musical instruments or a theater. Does having a character named "Fifi" automatically assume a theater?

I've started King's Quest VI but didn't make it all that far in.

What if none of us have played the game Venus is thinking of? lol

You are right Becky. With 8 games to choose from, it makes it a bit harder.

But maybe one or two supplementary hints could be helpful. yes

Hi, everyone. Sorry I'm late. Work kept me from posting earlier. smile

Everyone has pretty much figured out it's a King's Quest game, so here is another clue that will hopefully solve things?

Clue 6: This one has a unicorn.
