Is your Webroot the security suite with anti-spyware, anti-virus and anti-malware or is it just the anti-spyware version? If you have the suite and keep it updated and run it often, I'm surprised it let through so much Malware.
What do you get when you run Malwarebytes the second time? I've seen things on the internet that say this PUP.mywebsearch is hard to get rid of. I've gotten rid of it with Malwarebytes, but others have had to use other options. If you are being redirected when you click on the Flash update, you still have some malware lurking somewhere. Can you tell us what the website is that you get sent to?

I have Webroot Anywhere Security Essentials. Website I am directed to is: Adobe Flash Player. Get your free PC Health Check. "iolo" system checkup is on far right.
With the malwarebytes the third time, I ran a full scan (is still running) - not quick scan which they say is recommended.
Re: Webroot; have automatically scheduled scans every day and have just upgraded/updated/renewed it.

So, this is not being forced on you, right? It's just an option on the right? Sounds like one of the "offer options" that are bundled with some downloads. When I update Flash Player, the McAfee Security Scan is offered - I always uncheck it as I don't want it. Why don't you just go straight to Adobe and download the most recent update which is 11.2? Adobe Flash Player Update Just make sure you uncheck the option to install McAfee Security Scan. Is Malwarebytes continuing to find instances of PUP.mywebsearch?

Draclvr: Re your first paragraph, did uncheck McAfee. Also downloaded Adobe Flash Player (11.2).
Finished my 3rd or 4th scan using Malwarebytes (which found approx. 200 more). and my Webroot scan. Deleted them. Am still getting "the box!!".
What about my going back to an earlier time?
If not, I guess I'll have to live with this.
Good grief.

My goodness - I simply can't understand why Webroot missed such a huge bunch of malware unless it wasn't being kept updated and run frequently.
See what happens after you do a reboot. I would be very careful of doing a Restore... You might restore all that malware. Let's see what Jenny and Inland have to say.
EDIT: Laurette, could you PM me that link where you are prompted to use Iolo?

Well, Laurette and I have good news on this issue. She sent me two screenshots of both the initial error message and the Flash update page that prompts for an Iolo scan.
The Flash page is just another example of something that makes me crazy, even though I understand it's all about money. When downloads offer these "additional" options, the host page gets money for every click that results in a purchase. Bill Pytlovany of Bill P Studios (WinPatrol) recently sent out a newletter stating that in spite of making a lot more money from these companies wanting him to have these "offers" on his downloads, he considers them marketing spam and won't do it.
So, that was one down. The screenshot of the initial error message states her browser is blocking Flash which is required for her ATT Yahoo email. A Google search turned up a bunch of similar complaints with the general consensus being that it is a conflict between a recent Flash update and ATT Yahoo. I advised Laurette to contact ATT and see if they have a fix or a workaround until the issue is resolved between ATT Yahoo and Flash.
But it appears this was a good excuse to get rid of a pretty massive infection of malware. I hope between her anti-virus and Malwarebytes, she can finally get it cleaned up. We'll wait and see how that goes.

Just a note to thank all of you for your help. Draclvr, especially. I, and all of GB members, would be lost without your help.

Keep us posted on the malware cleanup. I wonder if after getting rid of so much of it, your computer is running a little better, the Flash popup notwithstanding?

Hi: Went to email this a.m., read my mail and sat there for a second thinking, wait a minute, "the box" was not there!!
Thank you again for your time, help and efforts.
My computer usually runs fine, so don't really notice a difference. With this malwarebytes program, am seriously considering changing my virus, etc. program. Although, just recently had it renewed. Oh well. Is there someone you would recommend?
Thanks.

No, since you just paid to renew it, stick with what you have for now. Just keep your Malwarebytes updated and run it often. You might think about getting Malwarebytes Pro. The only difference is that it runs in real time and blocks these attacks before they happen rather than just eliminating them in a scan. It is supposed to safely run right alongside your anti-virus program. I installed it on a couple of computers and it's caused no issues at all with the anti-virus software. It's $25, but if you watch for sales at Newegg, I've gotten it for $10 and $15.
