Wow! That's nice to hear. The last couple of games I played ended on abysmal cliffhangers. I'm glad to hear this one won't.

on my way again, and loving it

They don't need to go on a special pedestal but you need to repair the one and place the others (I believe 4 it could be more) in order to get a diary update with the phases of the moon that appear below the pillars.

Are you looking at the screenshot with the lever and rope marked? Make sure you have the crossbow with twine already combined, aim it at the lever on the ground floor and when it is attached you need to pull the rope on the chandelier.

The family tree portrait puzzle is definately a glitch. I have two portraits. Victoria and Elizabeth stuck at the side of the picture. I cannot progress any further as the safe requires a code which is revealed when the puzzle is complete. I have uninstalled and re-installed with no luck.
I posted on BF and no reply as yet. hardwall

Finished and loved this game. It had everything I look for in a HOPA, and done beautifully too.

I finished it last night. Very enjoyable overall, but unless the ending of the main game in the CE is different from what it will be in the SE, it ended on a nasty cliffhanger. The Bonus game had a good ending though.

I'm really glad I bought the CE version of the game; I felt the same way with the CE of Shiver: Vanishing Hitchhiker. smile
