Well, Venus, I like all 3 concepts... it's only that the Anglophile thingie intrigues me more, 'cause I've never played an adventure set in a jane-austen-esque world.

I mean... there are some topics that seem to come natural to adventure, others that don't. How many pirate graphic adventure's have been made?

(Of course, I'll play Captain Morgane 'cause it's Steve Ince and it looks gorgeous. However, if he made me choose between a pirate adventure and one set in the Rwanda War, I'd go for 2nd one no doubt)

I, too, have sent funds to some of the KickStarter projects - but there are getting to be way too many of them for me, now woozy

Well, you guys have to think about the fact that all these funds will spare you spending these amounts or even higher ones on games you would otherwise buy:)

I love your cockeyed logic, Tomer. <g>

Oh, wait, you meant we'd buy these games anyway. Here I was thinking you meant it would relieve us of having the funds to buy something like Testament or The Lost Chronicles of Zerzura.
Darn right about that! <g>

Gil.

$50 not tempting to me, because that works out to $25 a game, and I never pay that.

It's not easy to find new games for less. Of course, the 50$ tier has an element of "donation" in it, but I personally am glad to give it to Jane, if only for the hope it might awaken the GK series again - but also of course for whatever else she'll make.

Josue, I'm intrigued by Anglophile as well. It would be something different from Jane's other works, and I might vote for it. The problem is I really want all three games and can't decide which to vote for first - not a bad problem to have at all. lol

Tomer, do you know which game you are voting for?

Well, I'm leaning towards Moebius.
Mostly because I think I read Jane said, that was the one most like GK1 smile

I've been trying to avoid all the kickstarter threads as I'm not in too good a position to contribute at the mo!

But have just had a look at Jane Jensen's kickstarter page & watched her video! She obviously has some funding to put in herself & mentioned that if she got enough she would be in a position to get two games into production. I am going to support her with what I can afford.

Looking at the choice of games I would love to see a Gray Matter 2 & it seems that she will be addressing the issues with the magic tricks which a lot of players didn't like. GM to me was a complete story so I don't see GM2 so much as a continuation of it but more as a spin-off related to events in the 1st! I would love to see another game with Sam & Dr Styles!

The other 2 games are very appealing too! Especially the Anglophile adventure as I spent many years in the Cotswold & think that Regency buildings are amongst the most impressive & beautiful! It's also an area full of ley lines & associated with witchcraft so could be interesting!

Hopefully if Jane is supported enough she will be able to eventually make all 3 games! smile

Misslilo, good choice. smile

Tomer, yeah that's probably what I'm going to do, too. I want them all as well, which makes it hard to vote for just one. grin

Chrissie, I agree that Gray Matter felt complete on its own, which I believe was also the case with GK1. The sequels just make the story that much richer, which I believe will also be the case with GM2. Spin-off would probably be a good description. smile Ooo, I like the idea of witches in Anglophile Adventure!

It's really interesting, I can hardly get a feeling to what the results of the vote will be. Anglophile will definitely be an interesting experiment, Moebius looks promising and GM2, like Venus mentioned, can really enrich GM and not only be a wonderful game, but strengthen it's predecessor (just as for me, GK2 and GK3 strengthen GK1)

If we hit the 600K we get 2 of them (at least!) so you guys really have to try and convince people :-)

We're still too few, 2,000 is nothing compared to the other projects and Jane deserves AT LEAST 10,000!

Vote is up today! I ended up going with Anglophile Adventure, as it sounded the most unique of all of her concepts. However, it doesn't really matter to me which game wins, since I want them all equally. The extended descriptions for each game sounded fantastic! My main problem is that each time I read each description, I want that game immediately. Not fair to dangle three fantastic games in front of us and make us choose only one. lol

I just hope they remain "true to the genre" and don't turn up being simple, casual interfaces.
It's interesting that she offers two game options - casual and true adventure...

I ended up picking Moebius. I agree, the anglophile adventure is indeed unique for Jane, but one can I say, I'm a sucker for the others :-)
Anyway, I would definitely get them all when they come out...
