Great deal on Botanicula and other Amanita games for a limited time here on HumbleBundle.

You pay what you can for the new Botanicula release and get the Machinarium and Samorost plus more for free!

Happy Gaming!

Yes, that was really nice of Amanita to release Botanicula in an HIB the same day that it was released everywhere else. cool Especially since people had already paid for the game on pre-order.

If you pre-ordered at GOG, they are making this up to you, though what Amanita did is hardly their fault. Everyone who pre-ordered Botanicula is getting the full soundtrack, a special artbook, a free copy of Machinarium and a free copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition.

Check your email.

Gil.

In this case my sympathy goes to GOG so that's where I ordered Botanicula from today.

As traveler says, got an email today from GOG. After they saw the HumbleBundle, they reached out to the guys at CDProjekt Red and for those who pre-ordered, we now get a free download of the full soundtrack and the full art book. Plus, on Monday we will have The Witcher Enhanced Edition Director's Cut and Machinarium on our GOG shelves for free. I already have the original Witcher DVD, but it's such a pain to patch it with the huge downloads. So I'm going to download the one on my GOG shelf Monday too.

Thank you GOG and CDProjekt Red!

GOG is doing even more. People who pre-ordered Botanicula and already have Machinarium and The Witcher EE on their shelves can contact them and they'll do something else for them instead. I do but I'm not contacting them, they've already been generous enough.

I love GOG, and I'll stay with them forever as long as they stay the way they are. (Insane)

I guess I must be the only one to think it was a great thing to offer. duh I was not in the least bit put off by the fact I also had paid for the preorder because their games are worth the cost. I think it's great to make it available for those they may not have been able to afford it. They did the same with Machinarium so I was not at all surprised.

I wouldn't have been put off either if Amanita had offered it in a Humble Bundle a month after the game release instead of on the exact same day as GOG released it. As it is, I felt as if they were spitting in the eye of everyone who anticipated their game so much that they pre-ordered it from GOG without the full soundtrack and artbook that went with the HB offer.

Maybe I'm sensitive.

I'm sort of with Ana on this one. I didn't feel the least bit put off because their games are so "out there" wonderful. In fact, I would have cheerfully paid more.

However, I do know a couple of people who were definitely put off by the fact that the GOG pre-order only had the partial sound track and the HB offer had the full one plus the artbook.

But GOG made it right for those who were a little ticked off, even though it was no fault of their own. I was just one of those who was like a little kid on Christmas morning waiting for the game! And I'm already stuck on the "stomach with the red ball" part!

Yup, GOG forever! I remember when they first started up. Now when I type GOG into a Google search, they pop up as the #1 search result. It wasn't like that for a long time. Their efforts in the DRM free world are well worth supporting them as much as possible.

Believe it or not, that wasn't a spoiler. It was part of the lyrics to a song. <g>
