I've just received the last quest for Act 2, and I've found the correct Tomb. But I'm having some serious problems with defeating the boss Duriel.
(I have an rouge archer assisting me since Act 1)

Does anyone by any chance have any tips, hints and tricks for actually defeating him? (Tired of always getting killed) frown

Duriel is probably the hardest of the bosses - he's soooo fast!

I'm struggling to remember details of how to defeat him but I know that I always had a town portal open for a quick escape, and loads of health potions stacked up ready to go on a hot key.

I can't remember if Diablo 2 has items that affect your own speed, but if it does, I would suggest those would be a good idea.

And weapons/spells/ammunition that does frost damage is helpful, because it slows Duriel down.

I agree with gremlin. I can't remember the details, but my character was very strong with ice and my rogue archer was strong in fire. It worked quite well in many parts of the game where I froze the enemy and the archer finished it off with fire. In the battle with Duriel, I think I kept more than one Town Portal open and of course, loads of health potions. I don't think I used a speed potion, but that's not a bad idea.

The one thing I do remember is that it took me a long time to defeat Duriel!

It is shame that you haven given up, Smiley. Have yoy tried searching for cheats that'll let you insta-kill enemies in the game?

As I remember I used ice arrows and spells a lot when defating Duriel. I think I also sometimes used decoy, can't rememeber this right now, though. The trick is to have enough town portal scrolls so that you can get to town quickly.

I could give leveling up some more a try, but it'll be a boring grind where the enemies only drop worthless junk when it comes to armor, weapons or potions.
But I'll have to see if I can be bothered to give it another go once the summer break has arrived.

I think that I played an amazone as well when I played Diablo 2 many years ago. I used a bow and ice spells etc. to slow enemies down.

Hope you get further into the game....
