No I couldn't get it to work so I got it from GOG and it is playing fine, it was very cheap and as I remember with the CDs you had to keep changing them (I have 5) so its nice not to constantly keep changing CDs.

It's easy not to have to change CD's. Just copy the contents of the Data folders on the CD's to the Data folder in the Riven folder on your hard drive after installing the game.

I don't know about getting the CD version to work in Windows 7. The original version used an old version of QuickTime (QuickTime 2, I think) that may not work properly in Windows 7.
